00:06have been recounting their ordeal. More than 100 people abducted from the Woro community
00:12were rescued by government forces earlier this month. They are the lucky ones. Some
00:19women and children are still being held. All of them that are still in captivity are now 12.
00:33The young lady among them is the only one and the rest are women.
00:41They conclude to stay with them. Some people conclude to stay with them and some they are forced to.
00:50Not everyone survived the ordeal. Without adequate medical care, several babies died at birth.
00:57Others succumbed to the harsh conditions, including malnutrition and malaria.
01:04I think we discovered 153 or so. And we were told that children, mostly, about 13 of them have died

01:16captivity. 13 AC we held there. So, unfortunately, we held there. So, if you calculate the whole thing,
01:27I think it's been 176. At least 14 people were in critical condition when they were rescued
01:39and are now being treated in hospital. Dozens more are receiving medical care.
01:47The community is very happy now. They are waiting to receive their people. That's why they are under
01:55medical treatment. So, we wait to see maybe in some few days, maybe the government will call us as
02:03the community to come and help them so that they will unite with their people.
02:07Mass abductions and kidnappings for ransom are still a major security problem in Nigeria,
02:12particularly in the north. Armed groups often raid villages and schools looking for victims.
