00:01Emergency services were called to this Slacks Creek home in Logan in the early hours of the
00:07morning where they found a 27 year old woman unresponsive. They did try to revive her but
00:12she was declared deceased a short time after that. Her 37 year old former partner has now
00:18been charged with her murder. Now forensic examinations have wrapped up at the scene
00:24and there will be a post-mortem to come to confirm the exact cause of the woman's death.
00:29Police have said that the pair were in a relationship at one point in time and
00:35that the woman had been in contact with the police ten days prior to her death.
00:39Let's take a listen now to what police had to say earlier this morning.
00:43An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death but our
00:47preliminary investigations would suggest that the injuries are consistent with
00:52asphyxiation. The man is due to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
