Prosecution counsel Atty. Lorna Kapunan joked that she was “preventing” herself from giving defense lawyer Atty. Kristine Ferrer a “spanking” after the two repeatedly clashed during the cross-examination of COA witness Xylene Del Campo.

Presiding Officer Francis “Chiz” Escudero urged both counsels to ease the tension in the courtroom after Kapunan objected to what she described as misleading questions from Ferrer.
