00:00There's some pictures that have gone viral of the Buffalo Bills' new stadium.
00:06Highmark Stadium.
00:07And they've spent billions, right?
00:10This is a big deal.
00:11Oh, yeah.
00:11A big deal for these people.
00:12And what's come out, at least from the pictures, is...
00:15I think about $2.5 billion.
00:17There's tons of obstructed view seats.
00:19Well, not just that, but if you look at the scoreboards,
00:23they look really small compared to the size of the stadium.
00:27This is the first time I've seen it.
00:28So the Bills are just missing the mark everywhere
00:31because there was a lot of negative reaction about their alternate helmets.
00:35And their uniforms.
00:37I thought even their uniforms looked terrible.
00:40So the obstructed sight lines, and you can see some of these,
00:43like the one picture that went viral, it's in sort of the upper level.
00:48And it looks like they're trying to give you a better sight line
00:50with maybe some glass we can see through.
00:52But then there's other parts where there's, like, wires acting as a fence.
00:56You've got to see through wires and glass.
00:59I mean, that seat's worth about $20.
01:02Maybe $5.
01:03I don't know how they botch that.
01:05To defend the Bills, I've heard them claim that these aren't sold for football games.
01:13That these tickets might be for concerts.

01:16It's a good excuse.

01:26You know, we're all looking at the same stuff on social media and reading the stories.
01:30That that seems to be the defense by Buffalo.
01:32But it's definitely not a good look when you spend all that money.

01:36And, of course, Washington is going to have a new stadium in 2030.
01:41You'd pray that that doesn't happen.

01:47That when you design a stadium, that there are going to be some obstructed view seats.

01:53But you better be clear about it, and you better charge a discount for it.

01:59You can't say there's not a bad seat in the house, and then you're behind a pole, or you're behind
02:03a fence, or whatever the hell it is.

02:08And I guess, as Jason mentioned, there are complaints about the scoreboards not being big enough, especially in today's era,

02:20I do remember growing up, when we would go to multiple Orioles games, if we happened to be underneath the
02:26deck, that there would be an obstructed view of these huge columns sometimes.
02:31But that stadium was all, again, I think some of that's unavoidable, but that stadium was built in like the
02:3550s or 40s or whatever the hell it was.
02:37You know, in a modern stadium today, to put it in perspective, I mean, obviously you know how rabid the
02:42Buffalo fan base is.
02:44There's 50,000 people out there for practice to kind of debut the stadium.

02:50And I'm sure everyone was all jacked to go and see the new stadium, but there's just, you know, everyone's
02:55going to criticize.

03:57And, I mean, like the bill said, that those seats are not for football.
04:02But I'm reading, you know, a recap of fans from the other night, and they say that the stadium is
04:09absolutely unbelievable.
04:10The seat architecture in the new stadium is magnificent.
04:14They managed to place seats closer and lower to the field.
04:18The openness is awesome.
04:19The intimacy of the seats is first class.
04:23Class, I think this might be one of those things where people just like to pick on things.
04:26And also about the stadium, about the video board.

04:30I mean, you're comparing it to SoFi or wherever, where they can hang it from the roof.

06:45And they were talking about how much the Harris group, even though they're still only going
06:48to be there in another three or four years or whatever, they're pumping so much money
06:51into that stadium to make the experience better for the fans.

06:54I mean, they're really putting money in there and not just little surface level things.
06:59They're making dramatic changes to make it better for the fans.
07:03So hopefully people notice it.
07:05Well, when Cakes and I were talking to Mark Klaus at the Commander's Media Happy Hour,
07:10and we talked to him for 20 minutes about the new stadium.
07:13I mean, this stadium hasn't even been built yet.
07:16And not even started.
07:18And all the stuff he's got to deal with five years prior.
07:22It's crazy.
07:23There's just a laundry list of things you've got to take care of.
07:26I would never want to take that on.

08:25to pick out their seats.
08:26So they saw renditions of like what their view would be like.
08:30So the odds are, like they were told there would be those like railings in their way and
08:35stuff, or they were near the stairs that would be in their way.
08:38If somebody ever tells you there's going to be railings in your way or poles in your
08:43way, I say run.
