00:00Former DAP leader Ronny Liu expects the Barisan Nasional-Perekatan Nasional Pact to collapse before GE16, which he predicts will
00:09be a free-for-all.
00:11Speaking at a press conference after joining Parti Bangsa Malaysia, Liu called the BNPN cooperation in the Negeri Sembilan polls
00:19a temporary marriage of convenience.
00:22He said cracks were already showing in talks for the Malacca polls as both coalitions believe they are strong enough
00:28to contest more seats.
00:31Liu noted that UMNO and PAS largely compete for the same voter base and expects BN and PN to eventually
00:37go separate ways.
00:39His view differs from PBM President Larry Seng's prediction that BNPN could form the federal government if their alliance remains
00:47intact.
00:48Seng also expressed confidence that PBM could outperform smaller parties such as Muda and Bersama, though he acknowledged growth in
00:57the peninsula would take time.
00:59He added that PBM was open to electoral PACs and predicted GE16 would only be held after Malaysia hosts the
01:08SEA Games next year.
