01:02we are just about to leave Ranong

01:07we're driving about four hours down south to Khao Sok National Park

01:15where we're going to be staying at the 500 Rai floating resort

01:20pretty excited about this one we've been meaning to stay at this resort for a couple of years now

01:26we had it booked in last year but when Mandy fell pregnant we cancelled

01:30so we're going to spend a couple of nights there I believe

01:33it's like the number one rated resort in Thailand or it's at least top five I know that for sure

01:38it's incredible can't wait to get there

01:41anyway we're giving ourselves plenty of time to drive there because

01:45on our drive from Pua Hinn to here

01:47it took us longer than expected because we had to make a few stops

01:50for like nappy changes and toilet for Lila

01:53and we'll probably stop and get some breakfast

01:55it's about a four hour drive but we're giving ourselves plenty of time

01:58we have to be at the pier that takes you to the floating resort by 11 o'clock at the

02:03latest

02:03so it's 5am now if we get on the road pretty soon I think we should be alright

08:13the boat now when you get here you got to go pay national park entrance fee and then basically just

08:18wait for the boat we got about 40 minutes so we're both a little bit tired so we're just going

08:22to chill out maybe get a drink walk around but this is what it looks like pretty busy that's where

08:35this is where you take in or get your boat and then it's all just pretty much tourist shops here

08:40with the same old stuff or maybe I'll get a hat actually

10:33Literally just stepped off the boat, been here for five minutes, they took our luggage,

10:39we've checked in and we've got food and drinks in front of us, you can't get much better

10:45service than that.

10:45There's about an hour boat ride here, a little bit of a detour.

10:50I got a little bit anxious during it but Lila slept the entire time, she was, she was,

10:55she was made, it's in her blood.

11:00She loves traveling, which is very, very convenient.

11:10I think it's mushroom and truffle, very good.

11:36I'm going to check into our cabin, just finished lunch.

11:40I can't get over this view.

11:42The whole thing is floating so you can kind of feel the ripples and the waves too.

11:56Feels like we're on a houseboat, this is sick.

12:18So we're staying in the villa room which sleeps four people, two adults, two kids.

12:24There's a king size bed plus a loft upstairs that has two single beds for kids.

12:31They've also put a cot in here for us and it's got a separate toilet and shower slash bathroom and

12:42then obviously this epic, epic deck out the front here with a kayak.

12:48So you can just go for a kayak on your own, go for a swim.

12:52I want to jump in the water.

13:20This baby, you just cannot get enough of the water.

13:43I don't know why but, that dude on the boat is dressed like spiders.

13:47Spiderman with a cape, no idea what's going on there.

13:53And now he's laying down on the boat like he's flying or something.

14:01The bartender just told me he's selling ice cream.

14:04I guess he goes door to door to all the floating resorts just like Spiderman selling ice cream.

14:09Nothing has ever been more Thailand than that.

14:16A bit happened.

14:18A guy in a little boat came by dressed in a full Spiderman suit with a cape on selling ice

14:25creams.

14:26No he didn't.

14:27Are you joking?

14:28Can you believe we missed that?

14:31And he just sailed off into the sunset.

14:33He just drove past that way and went off.

14:36The bartender came over and I was like who was that guy?

14:38And he was like he's selling ice cream.

15:06And I still woke up.

15:08We're not exactly sure what the etiquette is but neither Lloyd or I are wearing shoes pretty much the entire

15:13time that we're here.

15:15We're just heading to dinner at the moment.

15:17Sunset is incredible.

15:19I cannot believe how beautiful this resort is.

15:24I know I say it all the time but it's up there.

15:28I think because it feels like we're in a boat that's why.

15:34We're like basically on a house boat.

15:36We've pretty much just been swimmers the whole time that we've been here too and everyone just jumps in the

15:41lake and it's crazy that this is a freshwater lake.

15:46It doesn't feel like we're in Thailand.

15:48I bet dinner is going to be absolutely incredible.

16:17Well guys we just woke up at the 500 Rye Floating Resort and the view is absolutely epic.

16:23The sunrise over the water and the mountains here.

16:27Unfortunately it's a little bit cloudy but the water looks like a mirror.

16:32Looks like glass.

16:34I just woke up and jumped straight in into a shower and now we're going to go get some breakfast.

16:53Okay.

16:57We bought Lila this little donut to hopefully take her for a swim while she's here but we're a bit

17:04worried that it's going to be too big for her but I guess she's a big girl.

17:08It says ages three and up.

17:10She's three months.

17:14She's chilling.

17:15You feel?

17:16You got hiccups huh?

17:17Let's see what happens.

17:19I'll just hold her up in it.

17:21Yeah.

17:25So getting to this resort is actually quite an experience in and itself.

17:30You actually have to get a long tail boat from Khao Sok National Park which takes about roughly 30 to

17:3860 minutes depending on how many stops you make along the way.

17:42And there is about a 340 Thai Bart entrance fee to get into the park which you do need to

17:50pay before arriving.

17:51But along the boat ride you will see some amazing visuals including massive limestone cliffs, crystal clear blue water as

18:01well as lush greenery.

18:03And once you do arrive to the 500 right floating resort honestly the service is absolutely impeccable.

18:10We were checked in without even having to give our names.

18:13They knew exactly who we were.

18:15They had our room ready.

18:17Lunch was ready for us to order and came within 10 minutes.

18:21We had drinks.

18:23We had our Wi-Fi.

18:25Everything sorted out.

18:26Literally as soon as we arrived they took our luggage and everything was just perfect.

18:31The service here is absolutely phenomenal.

18:33Now it's the accommodation here that really stands out and makes this place unique.

18:40Obviously it's a floating resort so it does somewhat feel like you're on a houseboat.

18:45You can feel every little ripple in the water but it's not too much.

18:49It's just a nice gentle wave and they're very rustic wooden with hardwood floors.

18:57And each and every bungalow has its own loft as well as private deck and kayak.

19:04So you can literally jump off the deck into the freshwater lake surrounded by fish anytime you want.

19:13Or you can just paddle around on your kayak, buy a floatie, float around.

19:18There's also a private pool in the resort if you don't want to swim in the lake.

19:25If you're a bit afraid of fish which I kind of understand they are a little bit creepy.

19:30You can swim in the pool which is another great option.

19:32All the rooms are equipped with a king size bed, full bathroom and shower.

19:38All the amenities you would expect at a five star resort.

19:41And there's also a bunch of activities you can do while you're staying here so it's up to you.

19:46If you just want to chill on your deck and go for a swim, have a cocktail or whatever you

19:52can do that.

19:52But if you're more adventurous and you want to go for a kayak or a hike or do some sightseeing.

19:59There's literally different activities to do every single day.

20:02And I'm going to show you what those activities are now.

20:05So as you can see here the options are trekking and cave exploring, hiking, kayak touring, lake sightseeing, wildlife watching

20:16and another hiking experience.

20:19They also have daily yoga and stretching classes available at like 6.30 in the morning which is pretty cool.

20:30She was made for resort life just like her mama.

20:46Okay this has been the most relaxing stay we've ever had.

20:51We've just been eating and swimming and napping like all day.

20:54The weather's been absolutely incredible.

20:56We're just having a tropical fruit punch at the moment and I'm just feeding the fish the corn because it's

21:02really satisfying.

21:04Lloyd was going to throw corn in the water when I was swimming and I wasn't having it.

21:10I cracked it at him a little bit.

21:14Well you don't like fish.

21:17She's really scared of the fish.

21:19I like looking at them but they're really, they're huge and they're creepy.
