00:24we just changed hotels from the reverie Siam resort which was unbelievably epic
00:32we spent last night in one of their jacuzzi villas and we had probably the
00:42most epic breakfast ever sitting in the jacuzzi I can't believe we got to do that
00:46actually and the front desk concierge organized for us to go to this local
00:53cafe slash art studio and I think Mandy is going to do some pottery there while
01:01we have a little bit of lunch and some coffee she's gonna make like I don't know
01:05maybe some bowls or vase or a mug or something not too sure how it's gonna
01:09work but basically reverie Siam resort is um teamed up with a bunch of local
01:17businesses they're trying to promote like local tourism and family-owned
01:22businesses so they have a bunch of stuff that you can do that I suggested for
01:26us to do so we decided we'd give that a crack today and then after that I think
01:31we'll head down to the walking street because we did go there for dinner last
01:35night but Mandy was quite tired we had a pretty big day so we didn't walk around
01:40too much so she wants to do some shopping maybe get some souvenirs or something
01:45because the walking street looks really cool here in Pai so far Pai is a really
01:51cool place like it's very different to anywhere else in Thailand it's just got
01:55this chilled out hippie vibe and as far as we can tell there's no red light
02:01district which is kind of odd for a city in Thailand so so far we're loving it
02:06we're staying at the riverside hotel and resort I think it's called I could be getting that wrong
02:13but either way I'll give you a full tour either in this video or the next so if

09:05gave us this incredible, what would you call it?

09:15It's the best chocolate cake I've ever had in my life.
09:19We've got this chocolate cake, cookies, ice cream with fruit and of course ice cocoa.
09:29So much chocolate and then look at the view here as well.

10:28Anyway, it takes a while for it to dry so while I was making it I was like a bit

10:33I wasn't going to get to keep it and then I was like stamping my name on it and I'm

10:37no one else can like have this if it has my name on it so I should have probably just
10:41asked sooner.
10:43But yeah, they're mailing it to me when it's dry which makes me really excited.
10:46It's going to be my favourite tea mug now.
10:48Lloyd and I really haven't bought many souvenirs in our travels mostly because we were living
10:53out of suitcases for so long but we still don't buy that much stuff.
10:57But the things that we do get and keep are usually things that we've like made and I
11:02think those are the best souvenirs because like you remember the day that you spent and
11:06you get something to take away from it.
11:08That was a really good one and I loved how we were just sitting there with like a family
11:12in their house.

11:15Mom was cooking in the kitchen.
11:17It was just and just an incredible view.
11:20That was really really good experience.
11:28Okay, before we head out for dinner I'm just going to show you a little bit of the hotel
11:33we're staying at.
11:35I think I called it Riverside in the beginning of the video and that's because it's on the
11:42river and they do have a little area here called the Riverside BBQ where you can basically
11:50order like a barbecue and they set up like a picnic for you on the river.
11:55It's the Riverside BBQ area.
11:58It's pretty cool.
11:59We might actually do it tomorrow depending on how much time we have.
12:01So this place is as you can probably tell a lot more connected with nature.
12:07It's right on the river and it's a lot more budget friendly.
12:12It's like all these tiny little cabins.
12:14They're actually really nice inside and very comfy beds, very quiet.
12:20There's lots and lots of lush gardens around here and it's about less than a thousand baht
12:28per night which is obviously way cheaper than the reverie where we were staying.
12:35It's actually owned by the same people and it's across the river which is how we ended up
12:39staying here.
12:41But I'll show you guys a little bit of it and the little cabins and then they've got
12:47a really really good cafe and restaurant where we'll be eating breakfast tomorrow.
12:55And it's very reasonably priced as well.
12:58You can actually book your room including breakfast which is awesome.
13:02And so you pretty much don't have to leave this spot if you don't want to.
13:08They kind of wanted to set it up targeting like digital nomads and young sort of people.
13:14But I think they only just took over this place.
13:16It's pretty new.
13:17You can sort of tell that it's under new management and it's not too busy.
13:24There's not too many people here right now.
13:26So I'll show you guys around and I'll show you the cafe and the restaurant before we head out to
13:33dinner.
13:33We got recommended a really cool spot for dinner that has live music tonight called Supermoon.
13:39I think and they have a rooftop bar called the Vinyl Studio or something like that.
13:46I'm probably messing that up.
13:48But anyway, I'll show you around this hotel now.
13:55So it's all tiny little cabins like this.
13:59As you can see they're separated.
14:02Really quiet and peaceful.
14:05Really nice inside.
14:08And look at the gardens.

14:14Pretty much non-stop.
14:17I don't know how but we've actually gotten so lucky.
14:19It hasn't rained since we got to Pai.
14:21So for the last three days we've had no rain which is awesome.

14:40This place is like a two minute drive from the middle of town.
14:45In fact if you didn't have a car or a scooter you could even walk to town really easily.
