Workers protest attempts to stop wage hike in NCR

Different labor groups rally in front of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Central Office in Intramuros, Manila, early Aug. 7, 2026. The groups said the protest would continue as they pushed for the passage in Congress of a P1,200 daily minimum salary and called for the lifting of the temporary restraining order (TRO) issued by the Pasig Regional Trial Court against the P85 wage increase in the National Capital Region (NCR).
