16 policemen injured, 4 protesters arrested in anti-Pax Silica rally

Violence erupts outside the Grand Hyatt Manila in Taguig City during the Luzon Economic Corridor Investment Forum, which President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. attended on Sept. 10, 2026. Deputy District Director Robert Baesa of the Southern Police District told The Manila Times that 16 police officers were injured while 4 protesters were arrested. The protesters staged a lightning rally condemning the proposed Pax Silica initiative, which forms part of the Luzon economic corridor.
