Wage hike TRO questioned  Sen. Joel Villanueva, chairman of the Senate Committee on Labor and Employment, on Monday questioned the issuance of a temporary restraining order on the P85 minimum wage hike in Metro Manila. In a media interview, Villanueva said the TRO issued by the Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 152 on July 30 halting the implementation of the wage order was unacceptable. 00:05syempre nalulungkot din tayo dahil alam natin na kailangan-kailangan ito ng ating mga manggagawa.

00:12And a little confused because dun sa Article 126 ng Labor Code natin,

00:19hindi ito dapat nagkakaroon ng temporary restraining order.

00:24I am more than willing to be corrected kung mali ako dyan.

00:28But yun yung pagkakaintindi ko.

00:30So, it's also a confusing decision for me personally.

00:40But of course, at the end of the day, we will respect the ruling of the court.

00:44I just hope and pray yung panawagan ko na i-resolve ka agad ito, itong TRO na ito.

00:50At the same time, magkaroon ng linaw and ano ba talaga yung spirit ng law doon behind the Labor Code,

00:58yung Article 126.
