00:00President Trump's latest stop on his pre-midterm rally tour was in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
00:05And while in Sin City, he ticked off his accomplishments on immigration,
00:09pressed for the Save America Act, and slammed the fake news media, the greatest hits.
00:14But the event was built as a focus on the economy, and that is the president's favorite topic.
00:19He touted the all-time highs on the stock market and said this.
00:22Last month, inflation dropped at the fastest rate it's dropped in many years,
00:27and more Americans are working today. So the biggest thing for this whole thing,
00:32more Americans are working in the United States right now than at any point in the history of our country.
00:40Think of it. I saw polls today on television. I say Donald Trump polls on the economy aren't good.
00:47The economy is the greatest economy we've ever had by far. The economy aren't good. They're fake polls.
00:54And speaking of polls, a new report says the generation that gave us flannel shirts,
00:59mixtapes, and slackerdom is now the most pessimistic about the economy. According to
01:04the conference board, Americans in their mid-40s to early 60s have the lowest consumer confidence
01:10of any generation. Economists say there are a few reasons why. Many Gen Xers are stuck in the so-called
01:16sandwich generation, simultaneously helping their aging parents while still supporting their own
01:21children. At the same time, they're starting to think seriously about retirement, and a lot of
01:25them, they don't feel ready. The good news, well, Gen X is still expected to lead global consumer spending
01:31for the next decade. So they may not be very optimistic, but they're still driving a big chunk
01:35of the economy.
