Ukraine has carried out another wave of long-range strikes inside Russia, with President Volodymyr Zelensky announcing that Ukrainian forces targeted two major oil refineries during overnight operations. In a statement, Zelensky said Ukraine's Defence Forces struck the Slavneft-Yanos refinery in Yaroslavl and the Bashneft-Novoil refinery in Bashkortostan as part of continued efforts to weaken Russia's military infrastructure. He also said Ukrainian forces struck "two military patrol boats and vessels from Russia's shadow fleet in the Black Sea." According to Russian officials, Yaroslavl experienced what was described as the largest drone attack on the region, with dozens of drones intercepted. Authorities said falling debris sparked fires in three homes, shattered apartment windows, and damaged several vehicles, while information on casualties was still being verified. Videos circulating online showed thick black smoke rising from the direction of the Yaroslavl refinery after the strikes. The attacks come amid an intensifying exchange of cross-border drone operations, with both Ukraine and Russia continuing to target strategic infrastructure as the conflict shows no signs of easing.
