00:36just listed publicly. That's fucking doxing. Imagine if somebody was like, hey, I'm going to
00:42create a searchable database of all the content creators on TikTok and on there I'm going to
00:47list their name, their screen name, and their home address. Y'all would lose your fucking mind or put
00:54it more politically. Say Trump wanted to create a searchable database of every Democrat donor where
01:01it would have their name and their address and how much money they gave. Y'all would have him
01:05impeached within a week. Momdani puts up everybody's name and address into an easily searchable database
01:12putting all of these people at risk of harassment and violence. Everybody just goes, oh, he's doing a

01:30found out because he is one of these individuals who, you know, obviously is far leftist, you know,

01:44did what these communists do. They'll demonize you. If you've worked and you've acquired any type of
01:53wealth, which is Momdani or his family at least, they'll come after you. And that is what is

02:09Explain it. Let me read from the Wall Street Journal. Momdani's administration fired a warning
02:13shot last week when it published an online list of property owners that might be subject to a
02:17surcharge of luxury second homes. The list includes owners' names, addresses, and market value of
02:22properties. The release of this threatens to stir up existing tensions between the mayor and the
02:26city's elite. The city has also been sending out notifications to homeowners they might be subject
02:30to the new tax. If you have a second home in New York worth more than $5 million, check your
02:34mailbox when you're back in the five boroughs because you've got mail, the mayor said in a
02:39post on social media. I assume, I am not, I have an apartment here, but I don't, I'm well below

02:46number. What do you, I don't love this. I can't say I love this. It feels like a little bit

02:53doxing. Just tax them and get on with it is my feeling. That's how I feel.
02:58Here's the definition of doxing. Doxing is publishing private identifying information to
03:03expose someone to publicly pressure or harm without their consent. Tied to status, the publisher's
03:11disapproval, swap elite for any other disavowed group. And nobody's calling this a tax role. This
03:20is I'm a fan of this tax. I'm supportive of it. Rich absenteeism should, should subsidize a nurse
03:29in the Bronx paying 40% of her income on rent. I came out in favor of this tax. This
03:35is the
03:35definition. He's taken a legitimate source of tax revenue and he's turning it into a wanted poster.
03:41And the question I would have is other than trying to identify and imply these people have done
03:47something wrong. And then 18 months after a healthcare CEO was executed in the street
03:53and then published the list. What, what is the upside here? Why is he doing this?
03:58There's two things. I think he's been largely successful, but there's two things that I think
04:02are real misses and they're both, well, they're not related. They are related in some way. One is this
04:08luxury tax. They should not have focused on Ken Griffin. I understand what, if they, they got it
04:14passed. Hochul agreed to do it. Just tax people. That's it. That should be it. It got passed.
04:20The leader going to be mad about it. Some are, some aren't like you. And then just tax them. This
04:25was a big mistake to try to put targets on these people. I find it really disturbing. The second thing
04:30was, even though I agree with, with, uh, with problems with Benjamin Netanyahu, to say you're going
04:36to arrest, want to arrest him seems ridiculous because it's not your job, right? It's not,
04:40I get why you might say, I don't like him. And I wish it's because they think they run the
04:46show.
04:48They think they run the show, but that's, that's what this is, right? That's, that's what it all
04:54turns into scraps for the regular folks in the elites get to eat like Kings at the top. We see
05:03that
05:04all the time, all the time, but this stuff all the time. So the mom Donnie's they'll eat like Kings.
05:10They'll do exactly what it is that they want to do by what it is that they want to buy,
05:15live how they
05:16want to live. And they ain't living with y'all. Y'all get to have the scraps fight amongst each
05:21other.
05:23He'll tell you when you can get what you need. You don't get to go and grab it when you
05:27need it.
05:29I mean, we even saw this with Gavin Newsom, for example, just, just a slight example,
05:33right? During the lockdowns, he locked down California and he was caught out having dinner
05:37with all of his friends and family. No mask. Some of y'all remember that rules for the,
05:43no rules for me. It's the left that are, uh, uh, uh, the authoritarians, the dictators.

05:58I could arrest him, but it was sort of weird. I thought it was a weird, another weird flex
06:03about which is not his job. And so in this case, I think, yeah, that's also a great point. Like
06:09since when does a mayor like mom, Donnie is a mayor, he's a mayor of a city. Like he's not

06:53over this tax. I don't know why he would. These records are public. I think, I believe, but why
07:01I call attention to them, correct? Is that, I can look up any, any home if you know the address

07:13Well, I'll just touch on the, the, him saying he would, he would arrest Benjamin Netanyahu.
07:19His legit, he basically, the justification was that he's been convicted in the international
07:24criminal court. There are dozens, if not hundreds of people have convicted in the international
07:28criminal court, but he's decided to announce he's arresting the Jew.
07:32Well, I'm not sure. Okay. Okay. Who else has he announced he's arresting?
07:36He hasn't. He shouldn't have done this. I said he shouldn't have done it. I just, I think it's,
07:39so you and I are in violent agreement on this. And when he's decided, he's not only playing into the
07:45worst fears about him, but he's making it harder for all progressives. I believe in a progressive tax
07:54structure, I believe we should raise tax rates and the Republicans in order to create deficits and
08:01continue to transfer money from the poor to the rich, they argue that progressive tax structures
08:05are persecution. And this plays exactly into that entire narrative. And let me, of course,
08:12I never miss an excuse to talk about myself. I left San Francisco in 2000, because I thought I was
08:18going to be rich. Red envelope was going public. And I thought, what do I want to do with my
08:21life?
08:21And I thought, I want to teach. And I want to live in New York. New York is the greatest
08:25collision
08:26of proximity, humanity, culture, creativity, weirdness. I'm like, I want that.
08:31Yes, you've said that. Yeah, you love the city.
08:33And I moved there in 2000. I ended up I was not rich. And I worked my ass off in
08:41New York. And I
08:41decided, you know what, I can't afford to live here. And I moved to Florida. But I decided I'm going
08:46to
08:46start a business intelligence firm called L2. And I started it in New York. Because A,
08:53it's an amazing place to start a business. And B, I always wanted to have a foot in New York.
08:58I started L2 in 2010. I sold it in 2017. And I've spent a bunch of time this morning trying
09:04to figure
09:04out what are the taxes, not the federal taxes, but the state franchise tax, real estate taxes,
09:11payroll taxes paid by L2 from 2010 to present to New York City and state. And it's about $51 million.
09:21The average, in other words, L2 is paying for what the one of the largest firehouses
09:28in downtown. The budget for one of the largest firehouses in downtown Manhattan is $26 million a
09:34year. And the, but quite frankly, what he's saying is, okay, and when I sold my company in 2017,
09:41I was living in faculty housing. My dean called me and said, congratulations, I just saw you sold
09:46it for this, you need to move out of faculty housing, which was fair. Right, you bought your
09:50apartment, yes. And I bought an apartment. And now, when he starts putting, quite frankly, he, when he
09:57he's implying, we've done something wrong. He's implying that we're guilty of something.
10:02Yeah. You are guilty of something. You're guilty of taking from the poor because you're rich.
10:10Because that's exactly what these folks believe. If you're rich,
10:14you have taken advantage of the poor and you have taken from them.
10:19See what these folks don't, what these folks fail to realize. And I heard, I heard this a long time

10:26and it kind of stuck with me. And it's that they print money every day.

10:38It's up to you to figure out the way, a way to go and get it.

11:03We ain't talking about that. Okay. No, no, no. Legal ways. There's a billion different legal ways to
11:09make money. And they're printing dollars every day. Those dollars that they printed that that's,
11:14that's not, that's not an, uh, uh, Elon Musk hands. You can figure out a way to go and get

11:21too. The same way Elon Musk did the same way Jeff Bezos did the same way, you know, all of
11:28these
11:28different individuals who have acquired, uh, you know, a vast amount of wealth, they had to figure
11:33it out some in some way, shape or fashion. And even the folks who got it handed to hand it
11:38down to
11:38them, their parents had to figure it out. Somebody within their lineage had to figure something out
11:44to make money. And we've all got that opportunity, especially if you live in America,
11:50you just need a product or a service that people are willing to pay you for.
11:56I mean, it really boils down to that. You know, your worth is based on the type of value that
12:06you
12:06could provide to people. If you provide a lot of value, Jeff Bezos, you'll be a very wealthy
12:13individual. I mean, Amazon is massive, massive. I know people who literally order from Amazon like
12:22every day, not even kidding, order something off of Amazon like every day because it's convenient.
12:28You can just get on your phone. Do, do, do, do, do, do. Oh yeah. I need that. Boom. It'll
12:35be at
12:35your front door later today. If not by tomorrow, it's convenient. He created a service that provides
12:45a lot of value to individuals and a lot of people, billions of people are willing to pay for it.
12:51So
12:51guess what? He's a billionaire. He's very well compensated. You can also do the same thing.
12:59You can do the, you can do the exact same thing, right? You can make a business that competes with
13:03Amazon. Maybe it succeeds. Who knows? I mean, that's, that's going to be a hell of a fight,
13:09right? Because Amazon is well-established, but it could be done. It could be done.
13:15It could be done. Or you could just create something completely different that provides
13:19a massive amount of value to, to, to people, right? Um, but that's not what these communists
13:26believe. They believe that if you're rich, you deserve to be punished because you took
13:34from poor people. So yeah, you did do something wrong. He should just, he should just take the
13:41tax. I would agree. There's no, they, they have the tax rolls. They don't need this for tax reasons.
13:46As a matter of fact, if Amazon released a list of a million names and said, these people actually
13:52owe taxes or they've done something wrong, or they're implied something bad about them,
13:57and it had a 95% error rate, the same attorney general under Momdani would be issuing subpoenas
14:03right now. Right. Yeah. I don't know this. This is, this plays into, this is his plane. And like we've,
14:10he's implying we've done something wrong because we're successful. Right. No, I, I agree. New York is the,
14:18the last place you want to demonize success. Yeah. The reason people moved to New York is they think
14:23I want to be successful on Broadway. I want to be successful in business. I want to be successful
14:27in the arts and no one's going to get in my fucking way. If I'm really talented and work hard,
14:32we're going to celebrate it. We're not going to, we're not going to put a big R on your door
14:37and say
14:37you've done something wrong because you're successful. Yeah. I don't know quite why he did it
14:41since he got the tech, the tax was going through. I don't, I don't, he's seeing some polling where it's
14:46not. I don't, he's already won and I'm not sure why he's doubling down with a losing move. It's
14:51bizarre. I find that bizarre. And I don't, you know, in a time when people's public information,
14:57even if it's public to call attention to it, the, when you're so prominent is a real problem. I mean,
15:03we all complain about Facebook and others using our information and justifiably to do this is very
15:10similar. It feels very creepy. It feels very surveillance. It feels very, um, even if you're
15:16you don't like Ken Griffin, even if you don't like all these rich people lording it over New York,
15:22they'll pay, they should pay their taxes. And that's that. It should be, that's that. And I,
15:26it is, it is, seems really, um, unusually pugnacious toward, I don't know. I don't understand.
15:32I was sort of shocked by this story and I'm going to wait for more reporting on this, but it
15:37seems
15:37ridiculous to, to, to call attention to it. Um, when it's, it's people you want to also stay here and
15:44you
15:44want to get their taxes. Anyway, I, I would agree with you, Scott. I just, I don't, I don't like
15:48it.
15:48I don't like it. And people can call us friends of rich people, but it seems unfair, uh, on, on

15:55aspect, not the tax. 95% of the people on the list suppose not going to be subject to the
15:59tax.
15:59Like what other than implying these people have done something wrong and publishing their address
16:05without their permission, without their consent, what, what possible upside is,
16:10is there from publishing this list? I would like to know what, what the, what the idea is. It's not
16:14a good one. I mean, it's not good. It's not good. Uh, I know it's been a tough morning, by

16:19I've gotten yelled at by Facebook and, and then Ari Emanuel called and yelled at me too. Cause
16:34completely obvious. And hopefully, hopefully, uh, with seeing more and more of this stuff,
16:41you know, people like these folks will come around and realize that these leftists really
16:47aren't who we thought they were. Right. And, uh, maybe that'll convert them to, um,
16:54actually supporting the right, you know, maybe, maybe, I know that's some wishful thinking, but,
16:59um, for me, it's obvious who people like Momdani really are. These are evil individuals who want
17:07to be seated at the very top while we all fight over scraps. And they, they, they, they, they cover
17:15it with, you know, this sweet, fluffy, nice message to lure us in, right? Whisper a bunch of sweet
17:23nothings in our ear just to try to get us to capitulate and capitulate, you know, and life
17:30will be good. No, it won't. No, it won't. It always goes to crap. It always goes to crap. I
17:36mean,
17:36you ask anybody who's ever lived through it, they all say the same exact thing. Yeah. They promised
17:41us the world, the moon, the stars, it all sounded good. And so, so we allowed them to do it.
