Ubicada bajo el Ángel de la Independencia de Jiutepec, esta pieza de sitio específico confronta la memoria del fútbol con la disidencia sexual. Mediante texturas suaves y pintura expandida, "profano" el entorno laboral y deportivo de
mi padrepara liberar la energía de mi infancia. Un ejercicio de reparación donde lo joto finalmente habita el espacio que alguna vez le fue ajeno.

Located beneath the Angel of Independence in Jiutepec, this site-specific piece confronts the memory of soccer with sexual dissidence. Through soft textures and expanded painting, I "profane" my father’s work and sports environment to release the energy of my childhood. A repair exercise where queer presence finally inhabits the space that was once alien to it.
(Note: "Lo joto" has been translated as "queer presence" to capture its political and performative weight in contemporary art English, but if you prefer to keep the raw reappropriation of the term, you can also use "where the fag finally inhabits..." or "where the queer body finally inhabits...").
