00:00The Dolphins, they're out on the practice field right now.
00:03They have the pads on.
00:05Eyes are on the pads, so all that.
00:09This was Jeff Halfley yesterday discussing why he likes the pads being on.
00:16Yeah, I think the game changes when pads come on.
00:19I think it's easier to run the ball when the pads come on.
00:23I think offensive linemen can get their hands underneath shoulder pads.
00:27I think they can kind of hold in certain places that aren't going to get called.
00:30I think they can move people better.
00:32I think DBs can reroute wide receivers better because there's more surface air
00:35to get your hands on wide receivers.
00:37And I think certain positions, it becomes way more real.
00:42Like, let's be honest, it becomes more real.
00:45It allows us to practice in different tempos.
00:48We can go thud, where you guys will see a lot of the NFL, thud somebody up,
00:52wrap them up, and then kind of let them go.
00:54So, I do think you need to have that physicality and you need to callous your body,
00:59whether it's your shoulders or whether it's your hands
01:02or whether it's, you know, a lot of your body getting used to that physical contact,
01:06which is really hard.
01:08And then it's going to allow us to go live and play real football
01:12and see who can tackle, who can break tackles.
01:16Poof.
01:18Oh, sounds like something I've been saying for the last many years to you.
01:22Is that always your, like, is that always, like, shouldn't you be happy about that?
01:25Like, why are you aggravated by that?
01:27No, I'm happy by it.
01:27I'm not aggravated by it.
01:29I'm happy by it because how are you going to learn how to get your body ready for football
01:33if you don't play football?
01:34I thought you would like Jeff Halfley there.
01:36I do.
01:36Like, you're just upset that Jeff Halfley's stealing your ideas.
01:39I do, just like I was telling you about how I'm not a fan of 7-on-7 either.
01:44No, I've never heard anybody say 7-on-7.
01:46They hate 7-on-7 like that guy.
01:48I think the DBs do.
01:52They do it because you don't understand how many times they go,
01:55you ain't going to have six seconds to throw the ball, dude.
01:59So.
02:00They'll do this.
02:01They'll still, you know, but DBs will do the finger wag even if a ball had no shot of getting
02:05caught.
02:05Yeah, you know what?
02:07We need to stop that.
02:10Like, you can't celebrate.
02:12You can't celebrate and do the no-no in the hands when the ball couldn't have been caught.
02:17It wasn't because of your defensive prowess.
02:20Yeah, right.
02:21What do you think you're doing?
02:23You're not surprising anybody.
02:25Yep, fins up, say how many more months until you can swing?
02:28Three and a half months.
02:30Man.
02:31Long time.
02:32That's a long time, dude.
02:34Yep.
02:34That's a long, that's a long time.
02:36He's done two next year.
02:37The swelling went down.
02:38I can see the veins in my hand.
02:41So, at least the swelling is going down.
02:44So, that's, that's a good thing.
02:47FBG Flax says, we're going to spank the Raiders week one.
02:50Watch.
02:51Well, I think they will.
02:52I mean, they already beat Kirk Cousins last year.
02:53And I saw some video of Kirk Cousins this week.
02:55And man, he looks terrible.
02:57He looks 100 years old.
02:59How old is he?
03:01A hundred.
03:02Too old.
03:03They should be starting the kid.
03:04So is Aaron Rodgers.
03:06Aaron Rodgers is older than Kirk Cousins.
03:09Yeah, but he's not, I mean, Kirk Cousins is not a better quarterback than Aaron Rodgers.
03:12No, I'm not.
03:13But, but, but here.
03:16I get tired of telling you this.
03:18How good you were has nothing to do with how good you're going to be when you get old.
03:25It doesn't.
03:27And I'm saying, you could take somebody who's younger than Aaron Rodgers and say, look at how old he looks.
03:35I've been saying that with Aaron Rodgers and it's, you don't like Aaron Rodgers.
03:40Aaron Rodgers was great.
03:41Was.
03:44I don't really know what one thing has to do with the other, to be honest with you.
03:46I mean, they're not playing Aaron Rodgers.
03:48They're playing, they're playing at least set up right now to play Kirk Cousins.
03:52And I don't know.
03:53Aaron Rodgers is going to play?
03:54What are you talking about?
03:55He's going to start.
03:55The Dolphins aren't playing Aaron Rodgers week one, dude.
03:57No, okay.
03:58I got you.
03:58So it has to do with, I see what you're saying.
04:00Week one.
04:01Yeah.
04:02Listen.
04:03Raiders going Raider.
04:05Until they show me otherwise.
04:07Like there's certain franchises that.
04:11Like.
04:12No matter what players they have on the field.
04:14Still, no matter who they acquire, no matter who they draft, I'm still going to be cautious.
04:20And I can say that about the Browns.
04:23No matter what great players the Browns have, they still get it wrong.
04:27Now they've gotten it better than the Dolphins.
04:31But still.
04:32Like when you say Dolphins.
04:34I saw.
04:36If I say Dolphins, Browns, who would I say, who would you say has the most dysfunction?
04:44I think it's Browns by the skin of their teeth.
04:47But yes, they've had more success in the playoffs than the Dolphins had twofold.
04:53Have they won a game?
04:54Yeah.
04:54When's the last time they won a game?
04:56Three years ago.
04:57Pittsburgh, right?
04:57Pittsburgh.
04:58Pittsburgh.
04:59Like three or four years ago.
05:00It was Baker Mayfield?
05:01It was Baker.
05:02Yeah.
05:02Yeah.
05:02And then what do they do with Baker Mayfield?
05:05Again.
05:06That almost makes you more dysfunctional.
05:07Again.
05:09Again.
05:10The dysfunction is real.
05:13I live with it.
05:15Right?
05:16I'm not even disputing that.
05:19But.
05:19When you think of the Browns and you think of the Dolphins, you would always say the Browns
05:23are more dysfunctional, yet they've had more success than the Dolphins in recent years.
05:29I say that to say, until I see the Raiders do it, they're the most dysfunctional.
05:34Because no matter who they have, they just find a way to screw it up.
05:38They've been to a Super Bowl more recently.
05:41What, 2001?
05:43Yeah.
05:44Oh, okay.
05:45But.
05:46If we're playing that game.
05:48Oh, okay.
05:50Dude, you would definitely say the Raiders are more dysfunctional than the Dolphins.
05:57It's close.
05:59Dolphins are pretty.
06:01I think the Dolphins just keep strolling Zonk out there and then we forget about the dysfunction.
06:07But it's been pretty rough.
06:09It's been pretty dysfunctional.
06:11That's why everybody's so excited about this feeling normal.
06:13Like, because in past Dolphins years, we still have Chris Greer here with Jeff Halfley.
06:18Right.
06:19You know?
06:19Or we have Mike McDaniel here with John Eric Sullivan.
06:21Like, that's how it would have worked in past years.
06:24So, the fact that they're going full clean slate is.
06:27Ooh, somebody threw the Jets in the mix.
06:30Jets are definitely in the mix.
06:32Jets, Raiders, Browns.
06:34Definitely in the mix.
06:35That's right.
06:35They're all dysfunctional cousins and saying who's the biggest loser at the barbecue.
06:40And the Jets have had more success than any of the other two.
06:43Yeah.
06:43But they're also on the longest playoff slump right now out of anybody.
06:48Right.
06:48They haven't been to playoff in years.
06:49That's rough.
06:51Yeah.
06:51No, they're all.
06:52Nobody has a great hand at this.
06:55At this function.
06:56I saw.
06:58Man, maybe I should make sure I didn't get got.
07:00Because sometimes this has become a late trend where people just make up quotes.
07:04But did Sean Watson really say he's open to a new contract?
07:07Or was that a fake quote that I saw this weekend?
07:11They owe him money.
07:12I mean, they had to borrow money from him.
07:14They already redid his contract.
07:18I saw that he's got like seven interceptions already in camp.
07:22Here we go.
07:25Like, what are we doing?
07:26That's how you look when you haven't played football in three years.
07:29But that's the thing is I just keep wondering where it's like, yeah,
07:32he has six interceptions and four practices.
07:37Been a while.
07:39Yeah.
07:40That's kind of part of the problem.
07:42Again, I would be.
07:44And this is how I feel.
07:49I would be more nervous if a quarterback didn't throw any interceptions in camp.
07:57And always played safe.
08:00Instead of testing what he can and can't do.
08:04That's what camp is for.
08:05Like, understood.
08:07But like, isn't it a little when it's him not being able to see what he can do for years?
08:13Well, that's probably why he's got so many because he got it.
08:17He's coming back and going, oh, I used to be able to make that throw.
08:20I can't make that throw no more.
08:22Right.
08:25Unbelievable.
08:28But, uh, yeah, I don't know, man, if you were to go full to, I think right now, I think
08:32they lead it just because Deshaun Watson is starting for them.
08:35And it's been such a disaster.
