They're mostly smaller than the average volunteer firie but no less enthusiastic. Around one hundred young people have spent the day responding to mock emergency scenarios, in Fern Tree, near Hobart. With volunteer firefighters in demand, the Tasmania Fire Service's junior development program aims to impart valuable life skills to up and coming first responders.
