00:00So let's go to this new 30 for 30 that's coming out.
00:04So I really love the 30 for 30 series that ESPN has.
00:09It's one of the very few things that they do well is the 30 for 30.
00:12And there's going to be one coming out on Shohei Ohtani and his interpreter,
00:18the portrayal of Shohei Ohtani.
00:20The series will feature never before heard or seen video and audio of his
00:26interpreter and talking about the gambling scandal.
00:30I'm sorry.
00:31I'm not buying it.
00:33You've got 17 million reasons not to believe this.
00:37Isn't it funny?
00:38That's the number on his gear, 17.
00:41Supposedly, that's the number that the interpreter stole.
00:45Now, I don't know about you, but I just asked all my producers,
00:48how many times do you check your bank account daily or weekly?
00:53Everybody says, well, I check it.
00:55You're telling me that Shohei Ohtani didn't see $17 million out of his bank
01:02account on placing illegal gambling bets?
01:06Major League Baseball has covered this story up, and I can't think that this 30
01:11for 30 is something that Rob Manfred wants out there showing Major League
01:17Baseball's incompetence.
01:18Pete Rose must be rolling over in his grave right now.
01:21You're talking $17 million with the best player in the sport and a unicorn in the sport and one
01:30of the absolutely greatest players that we've ever seen.
01:34And he's also a Japanese player, which brings tremendous revenue over from Japan to Major
01:40League Baseball.
01:41No wonder they want to keep this thing quiet.
01:44Nobody in their right mind can believe this story.
01:49$17 million of illegal gambling debt, and Major League Baseball has just brushed this under the carpet?
01:57You know, we're in an era now.
01:59We see this all the time, especially with these storylines that are going in the NFL and in college football
02:06when it talks about gambling.
02:07Major League Baseball has their biggest star wrapped in a gambling scandal, and they just blew it off.
02:16They blew it off because he is the golden child.
02:19He's a guy that everybody looks at right now, and I can't believe it.
02:24They just pushed that entire story under the table.
02:29$17 million?
02:31Give me a break.
02:33Look, I check my account daily, like every other American does, to see where we are, and I get it.
02:40By the way, that $700 million was deferred, and most of the money that he's going to make
02:45is going to be after he leaves the game of baseball.
02:49It's pretty crazy to think that Major League Baseball just took a blind eye to this story.
02:55I can't wait to see this 30 for 30, but I'm sorry.
02:58I'm not buying it.
