00:00hello everyone welcome again to earrings exquisite tutorials today I'm going to
00:07show you how to take a small cup and decorate it with yarn so this is a fun
00:18little project I did this with kindergarteners and first graders so
00:24you're able to do it so hopefully you can see what I'm doing so you're going to
00:30be a small cup like this is small okay you're gonna need a pretty big brush like
00:40this pretty big brush and I have my glue here I use fabric fusion glue and you're
00:54going to need some yarn and I'm going to decorate the cup with this yarn right
01:01here but I'm gonna make little bows around it with this yarn so let's see how
01:08that goes so and scissors because you're going to need to cut the pink yarn so that
01:17you can make little bowls and put around it and you'll see how to do that so
01:21first I'm gonna start off by putting my plate here because I don't want this
01:27glue to get all over the place and I'm gonna put this glue on this side of me
01:34so it's not in a way because I want you to be able to see okay so you take your
01:40brush and I'm just gonna dip it right in here you gonna dip it inside of the glue
01:47and you're gonna start you're gonna brush it like this basically you're gonna brush
01:59the glue around the jar like this I'm just basting it you might get a little glue
02:10on you and if you do it's okay it's just glue it's washable you can wash it off but
02:18we want to make sure glue is all around and you want to because you want to
02:23decorate this cup we're gonna decorate this cup we're gonna make it look very
02:28pretty with this yarn okay so now you take your yarn and you let me make sure I got
02:39some around these edges around here like this just like this trying to be
02:47conscious of where to keep that so you guys could see okay this is good so now
02:57you just take your yarn basically and you put it on there just like that and you
03:06just start wrapping it slowly just making it just go around like this now you can do it I
03:17did it with little kids and believe it or not they did a pretty good job you just want to
03:27wrap it
03:27around and just keep wrapping around you just keep the yarn going around like that you want to get glue
03:40on you and it's okay very neatly around
03:49it's a round I move that so you can see around and around we go and it is looking very
04:04pretty it's a round go slow
04:13everyone should be able to do this it is a fun little project to do with little kids
04:23I did it with the little kids in my course and believe it or not they loved it and you
04:31know some of them needed help and some of them did a good job on their own
04:36this is all you do this is all you do you just keep wrapping it if you would like to
04:41do it a bigger cup
04:43you can do it with a bigger cup little cup
04:48however you like but you know I work with little kids so I wanted it to be a little cup
04:53and you just keep going around and around
04:56just like this until the cup is covered
05:03just like that because I wanted them to have something to put their jewelry in once
05:17when we after we make jewelry because I teach them jewelry making believe it or not
05:23and they do a pretty good job you know making the jewelry
05:30it might not come out too even but that's okay you just keep going even if you have to go
05:36around
05:37once or one more time around just to make it even so we keep it like that so once you
05:44get it
05:46just about done which is done you take your scissors and you cut that off maybe you want to put
05:58like
05:58you know just a tad more glue right there so that it can go on just like that and so
06:08we can stay on just like that
06:12okay and see how neat and nice that look all around
06:21all around I'll just touch it gently nicely all around this is what it looks like folks
06:29you can do this with little kids I thought about maybe doing the inside but I didn't want to do
06:36the inside
06:37it's just a fun little tutorial you know to do with little kids so after after I did that
06:51it's all glued on you can see all around it it's beautiful you're gonna take another piece of string
07:05and maybe we tied some little bows around it like to make it interesting so maybe like we make like
07:17a little bow
07:20maybe I need it longer that that was about five inches so let's see let's make it about this long
07:28about it looks like about twelve twelve inches and just tie a bow just like this you just have this
07:40piece of string
07:41you hold it together you take your two fingers like this pull it through like that and then just tie
07:53together like this
07:59to make a bow

08:02so you make a bow
08:05just pull it down because we want it to be
08:08you know a little
08:11short
08:12like this
08:15and you put it together like this
08:18and I'm gonna cut it
08:24and cut it off
08:25so now it's small like this
08:29and you just take a little glue
08:33and you put it on the cup like that

08:48and you see how cute that is

09:09so you're gonna cut off about
09:11twelve inches
09:13of yarn
09:15whatever color yarn you would like
09:18and it's just a little cup
09:20we made this little cup
09:21in my jewelry making class
09:24and tie a bow
09:26so that they could
09:28have somewhere to put
09:30their jewelry
09:31they needed somewhere to put all the jewelry
09:34that you know
09:35they make with me
09:36so we
09:40made this little cup
09:43and actually
09:44it wasn't my ideal
09:46it was my boss's ideal
09:48so I will give her credit
09:50her name is Nadra

09:53she found this
09:54cute little project
