00:01From CeCe, bloodstream and culture and locker room, Sheehan.
00:07You talked about it all day yesterday.
00:09Is that who they want in their bloodstream, culture, and locker room?
00:16Yeah, I think we're talking about, I think, legitimately,
00:21apples and oranges, dogs and cats.
00:24But there is baggage.
00:26There's no doubt Stefan Diggs has some baggage.
00:30It's different baggage than Brandon Iyuk's.
00:34The question is yes or no on Brandon Iyuk.
00:37Why are we asking?
00:38The question is yes or no, excuse me, on Stefan Diggs.
00:41Why are we asking about Diggs today?
00:43Nikki Javala tweeted something out an hour ago.
00:46It was a gif of the receiver Stefan Diggs in Buffalo on the sideline,
00:54pointing to himself, saying, I'm him.
00:56And Nikki writes, that's my assessment of the first two days of commander's camp.
01:01Meaning, one or two things.
01:05One, the receivers after Terry don't look great.
01:09Number two, maybe, maybe there is some smoke around Diggs to Washington.
01:14And then John Kime was on with the junkies this morning.
01:17And immediately, when asked about another receiver, said, well, Stefan Diggs would be the possibility at this point.
01:24No one else is really a possibility at this point.
01:28So the question is yes or no on Stefan Diggs.
01:31Would you like to see him in camp shortly under a one or two year deal for what SpotTrack says
01:38would be a market value of around $14 million a year?
01:4313.8, but rounded up $14 million a year.
01:47My answer would be yes.
01:48The thing I have always loved about Diggs is no matter what the distractions have been, and eventually, is it
01:58possible that he's worn out as welcome and he wears thin on people after a while?
02:04Yes, but everybody's always said the dude shows up on Sundays, and he does.
02:11He's not exactly what the team is looking for.
02:14I think they're looking for more of a true home run, vertical, stretch the defense, outside guy.
02:22But Diggs would be, I think, easily the second best receiver on the team the moment he walked through those
02:30Ashburn doors.
02:31So I'm all a yes on him.
02:34This is a big year.
02:35It's a year in which I want Jaden to succeed.
02:39I want all of the opportunities for him to succeed.
02:43I think improving the defense, if they've done that, they've certainly attempted to do it, is the right thing to
02:49help Jaden, to help the offense.
02:51I think adding what they added after they didn't get their top two or three targets at receiver, they didn't
02:58stand still.
02:59They didn't throw their arms up and say, well, we can't do anything now.
03:03They added Deami Brown.
03:04They brought back Traylon Burks.
03:06They added Van Jefferson.
03:07They went out and added a guy like Rashad White, who I think they feel like they can trust out
03:11of the backfield.
03:12They added Chica Conquo.
03:13Conquo was going to be added and targeted even if they had landed Alec Pierce or even if they had
03:19landed Romeo Dobbs.
03:20But I would say yes to Diggs.
03:22I'd feel actually really good about it for the upcoming season at the very least.
03:27And look, if it doesn't work out, you move on.
03:29If it doesn't work out for a lot of different reasons, you can move on.
03:34But, yeah, I would do it.
03:36Max, you would do it as well.
03:38Oh, very much.
03:38Yeah.
03:39We need that receiver added.
03:41Phone lines are packed for this one.
03:42Yes or no on adding Stefan Diggs.
03:46Why or why not?
03:48Let's start with FWOD.
03:50FWOD, go ahead.
03:52Yes, sir, Kevin.
03:54This is an absolute yes.
03:56And I just actually want to pull up a reference to tweet that Warren Sharp, a lot of my guys,
04:01shout out to my guy Faisal in my OG Skins group chat.
04:03He put this in here right now.
04:05And he said he referenced how Drake May in 2024 started off with the fifth cheapest wide receiver and tight
04:12end room.
04:13And by 2026, they have the ninth most expensive with A.J. Brown, Romeo Dobbs and Keyshawn Boogie.
04:18Now, you compare that with what we've put around Jaden from a talent perspective, and it's not really comparable.
04:24So, absolutely, bring Stefan Diggs in here.
04:27And for the people that are saying that they are concerned with the locker room, hey, if he's hooking up
04:32with your sister, I understand.
04:34But as long as you're not committing a crime, hey, man, do your thing.
04:38I really don't care what you do outside of the field.
04:40There was no issues with him in the locker room with Drake May, a young quarterback back last year.
04:46So, absolutely, bring him in.
04:47He's home, and we need talent on the field.
04:50It's not my money.
04:51So, I don't care.
04:53As long as it makes sense for Stefan Diggs and the team, pay whatever you got to pay to get
04:57him in.
04:58Yeah.
04:58Look, I mean, I understand why teams were holding off until his trial was over.
05:05You know, he was facing, in a trial, felony strangulation charges, misdemeanor assault and battery charges,
05:13but he was found not guilty by a jury of his peers.
05:18I think also the New England thing, let me just mention, the New England thing, you've got to give Josh
05:23McDaniels a lot of credit.
05:25He has always been able to scheme up lesser players open.
05:31It's what he, it's his trick.
05:34He's able to scheme guys open.
05:36So, last year, you know, the Matt Collinses and the DeMario Douglases, and of course the Stefan Diggs, but also
05:45a Hunter Henry, you know, at tight end.
05:47Those guys were open.
05:49They were second or third in the league in the most wide open rate in the NFL, and Drake May
05:55really stepped up, you know, and was able to deliver.
05:59You know, I read something about play callers this morning.
06:02The Athletic, I think it was the Athletic, ranked the top 10 offensive play callers in the game, and the
06:08league said about Josh McDaniels,
06:11nobody schemes up easier throws for a quarterback than Josh McDaniels does, and that was the case last year.
06:20I also always wonder, you know, when a team that goes to the Super Bowl decides not to even attempt
06:29to bring back their leading receiver, what that says.
06:34Now, part of it is they traded for A.J. Brown, and there was always an intention to trade for
06:40A.J. Brown.
06:40They added Romeo Dobbs, you know, to that offense in New England, but okay, yep, Fawad, thanks.
06:48That's one yes in the book.
06:50By the way, our Waldorf Honda Twitter poll of the day is about Stefan Diggs, yes or no on Diggs.
07:01You can vote by going to at Team 980.
07:05I will retweet it as well from Kevin Sheehan, D.C., but yeah, I would sign him, and I think
07:15in part because there's no longer an option for Brandon Ayuk.
07:21301-230-0980.
07:23Let's go to Q. Q, yes or no on Diggs, why or why not?
07:53Thank you, man.
07:56We need to do and give him what he wants.
08:01And the reason why I'm saying this is because there's a good chance.
08:06Not only does he help this team, but Stefan Diggs can rival Terry McLuhan as the number one receiver, even
08:15at his age today.
08:17When you look at the makeup and the talent and the skill set, side by side with Terry McLuhan and
08:24his ability to stretch the field, we say that he wins that.
08:30But every other receiver ability, we're not talking about the character because if it was my choice, we'll have a
08:39roster full of Terry McLuhan.
08:41But when we're talking about the receiver ability to be able to beat man-to-man coverage, to be able
08:48to create a separation from the route, definitely.
08:52He will probably rival McLuhan for the number one receiver, Scott.
08:57And I'm going to make a bold prediction.
08:58If they get Brandon Aiyuk, I believe they'll win 10 games or more with Brandon Aiyuk.
09:06With Diggs or Aiyuk?
09:07I mean, Stefan Diggs.
09:08Stefan Diggs.
09:09Yeah, okay.
09:10Okay.
09:10Yeah, yeah.
09:11Look, I agree with you that Diggs certainly would rival Terry.
09:19Terry, I think most people would think Terry's the one, Diggs is your best two possibility.
09:25But Diggs, look, man, this dude has been an elite-level route runner during his career.
09:34He is great against man coverage.
09:37He's exceptional against zone coverage.
09:40He's explosive with the ball in his hands.
09:43He is very, very good when a quarterback like Jaden Daniels gets out of the pocket, extends players to get
09:53open and be available.
09:56And then he's just, he's one of those tough, competitive dudes on game day that I love.
10:03I've loved watching Stefan Diggs.
10:05I've rooted for him, mostly because he's a Terp.
10:08And I think he's been outstanding.
10:11Is he the same player that he was?
10:13No, but he, more recently than anybody else, has had a really good season in terms of the players who
10:19are available.
10:19Over 1,000 yards, 85 catches.
10:22I think in this offense, you can pencil him in for another 80 catches and another 900-plus yards to
10:29go with Terry's, hopefully 70s, 80s, and somewhere around 1,000 as well.
10:35The answer is yes on Stefan Diggs.
10:37For this team, 100% yes.
10:40Thank you, Q, for that.
10:42Let's go to TC.
10:43TC, go ahead.
10:47Definitely yes.
10:48And the reason why I'm saying yes is because, first of all, Adam Pease has signed him to a one
10:54-year deal, probably around like, let's say, 17, 18 years.
10:56I think he wants some more than that.
10:57I'm sure he's looking for more than that.
10:59Yeah, he, I'm quite sure he's probably looking for more than that, but we got to see what Adam Pease,
11:05you know, Adam Pease, you're still talking about Adam Pease.
11:06Adam Pease is not trying to pay crazy money.
11:09So that's already there.
11:10So you know, Adam Pease is not trying to pay crazy money.
11:11Not to this position based on what their research department says about aging wide receivers, no doubt.
11:16Right, I got that.
11:17Adam Pease ain't going to go that far.
11:19So what I'm saying is it definitely be a yes, because not only, here's the thing.
11:25He's going to bring excitement and a sense of urgency and to make other defenses that we play.
11:34Because we got a tough schedule playing defenses this year, at least 11 games on the schedule of the opponents
11:39of top 10 or top 12 defenses.
11:41So with Diggs and Terry in there, that's going to bring some fear to the opponents.
11:46That's the main thing, I believe, what we're lacking right now.
11:50De'Ami Brown is the one going to go deep, yes, but that fear, we don't have that fear in
11:55the receiving capability.
11:56That's it.
11:57And also, also I mentioned that Diggs was with Houston and he was like the second or the third receiver.
12:02I know he was.
12:03Oh, I know.
12:05I mean, that, okay, so by the way, I missed that year.
12:09Obviously, he was a number two with Nico Collins.
12:12Okay, so yes.
12:14And by the way, I looked this up, I looked this up, you know, during one of the breaks, he
12:20was trending for another, you know, 100 yard, 100 catch, you know, 11, 1200 yard season before when he got
12:29hurt in week eight, you know?
12:31So he is not far removed from some, actually, it was not a 1200 yard season, my fault.
12:38He was trending towards basically like an 1100 yard season and right around a 100 catch season.
12:45Excellent for a 31-year-old receiver where, by the way, Nico Collins is an absolute stud and star opposite
12:53him when he got hurt.
12:56Yeah.
12:57And last year, 85 catches, very low drop rate per usual, 1,013 yards, four touchdowns.
13:07What's come down for him is his yards per catch, and part of that is he's not the same deep
13:15threat that he used to be.
13:16You just have to recognize that.
13:18He's not the same deep threat that he was in his early days in Buffalo or his days in Minnesota.
13:27Thank you for the call, TC.
