00:00These are our four week old rescue puppies. Bringing these pups up has been the hardest
00:04thing we've ever done because they don't have a mum. Luckily our dogs have been here to help
00:11and that includes teaching them boundaries. We're going to take you along the crazy journey they've
00:16been through in this past month starting on day one. So the puppies have been in a pen for the
00:23past couple weeks. They were so young they couldn't even walk properly yet but they've now grown to
00:28the stage where they're able to walk and want to be out. And oh boy this is where the fun
00:37begins.
00:38I know our house is a literal zoo so the brown coyote looking dog is our latest rescue Luna and
00:47this is Olive terrorizing her. You'll see this starts to become a theme but you'll see later
00:51our dog Kobe had something to say about that.
00:58These pups are honestly the cutest things.
01:02Why are they so pounced? They'd basically just learnt to walk properly but Olive decided she wanted to be a
01:07kangaroo and not a dog. And that's her other dog Mokey. She's our crazy oversized and eater who let's just
01:15say is still learning how to play with the pups. As the pups ate more and the days went by
01:29they just
01:30kept growing and growing and this is where our first problem came up. These pups are rescues and sadly
01:35they lost their mum. I'll get into their story in a little bit but the mum plays a vital role
01:40in teaching
01:40the puppy's boundaries. And with no mum here.
02:05Whilst Luna was still unsure how to deal with them because she's brand new into our home still,
02:09our boss of the house Kobe knew exactly what to do with these little rascals.
02:14But the best way to teach them isn't by us doing it, it's with the dogs doing it. Luckily,
02:18no one told Kobe he's supposed to be a golden retriever who loves everything that moves. No,
02:23Kobe is a dog of luxury who enjoys his space and alone time. The puppies decided to test that.
02:48For some reason Mokey decided to join in trying to annoy Kobe. Well done Moke, setting a great example.
02:59Kobe was not having a great time. I know it doesn't look great but it really is the best way
03:04to teach
03:04these pups not every dog wants to play. Also, we know Kobe will never actually bite them, it's just a
03:10warning. I know it looks like Kobe's absolutely hating his life but you'll see later on it did teach
03:16Bonnie and Olive to leave Maloya and this would only happen for about 15 minutes a day. For the other
03:2112 hours,
03:21Kobe was being walked and still loving life. Go on Kobe! But not every dog hated the puppies,
03:29there was one dog who would keep trying with them. Anytime they would be playing,
03:33Mokey would be there trying to figure out how to play with them.
03:48That's right Mokey, get told! She poured her and they told her off! Olive, honestly, leave my feet alone.
03:55Leave my feet alone! Get her Mokey, get her! Get her Mokey, get her! Yeah, that's right. Mokey, no no
04:01no no,
04:01pouring. Don't care that much. And as the puppies ran literally absolutely wild. Hey,
04:07Bonnie! Bonnie! Out of there! No! Come here! No, no! Bonnie! Bonnie, you idiot, come out! Come on,
04:15you silly girl! Hey, Olive! Hey! Hey, Olive! And Bonnie's chewing on the shoes.
04:27Oh, hello, Bonnie! Hey, Bonnie! Lovely! Thank you, Olive! Oh, nice! Lovely! Thanks, Bonnie!
04:47And me and Ella treated them like actual babies! Oh, Bonnie!
04:58Oh, my God! Excuse me! Yeah, she loves it! Let me have it! Let me have it!
05:09Oh, Olive! Baby Olive! Baby Olive! How big she's gotten! I look massive! You look big, don't you,
05:19Oh! Before we knew it, it was time for their first jab and to both be microchipped.
05:32They were really good in the vets and it was great socialisation for them. They were so brave getting
05:37their first jab and this meant they could experience the outdoors for the first time. We couldn't wait,
05:42we were going to be putting them in our garden but first we had to clean up the absolute minefield
05:46out
05:46there. The joys of having so many dogs. This was only a week's worth of poo and I know it's
05:52weird but to prove a
05:53point of how much there is, I weighed it. Six kilos! Do you know how crazy that is? Anyway,
05:59as you can see from the frost outside, it's cold. So we put on these jumpers we got for the
06:03pups when
06:03we first got them. I think it's safe to say they've grown a little bit since then.
06:11There you go pups! Welcome to outside. Oh! Bonnie's going to do exploring. Come on Bonnie! Come on Olive!
06:26Come on dogs! Come on pups! Kobe was obviously in good spirits and happy they can be outside now so
06:32he gets some space. He decided to celebrate by playing with Moki. Oh they're scared! Come on Olive!
06:43Onto the grass! Brave girl Olive! Come on Bonnie! Bonnie! Look at all the dogs that hang. She's like
06:53this is very overwhelming. You're going to come on the grass Bonnie, your sister's being brave. Come on
06:58Bonnie! Come on Bonnie! Come on Bonnie! Good girl! Good boy! Kobe likes her now that she's outside. Come on
07:10up Bonnie!
07:13Well done! Come on Olive! Hello! Good girl! Oh puppies! Hello! Hello!
07:28I thought they would be really tired after that.
07:37It's honestly just so peaceful in our house. Even Moki's finding it relaxing. If you could subscribe
07:43for Moki having to go through this she would thank you very much. Puppies!
07:51A few days later my cousins came round. She has young kids and of course when they found out about
07:56Bonnie and Olive they just had to come see them. This was perfect for the puppies too. It just gives
08:01them
08:01more needed socialization. That's so cute!
08:12These puppies are honestly really lucky to be here today and healthy. A couple bred Ken Corsos and then
08:18shortly split up after. By the way if you don't know what a Ken Corsos is, yeah these girls are
08:23going to be
08:23huge. They were living in a terrible setup. No blankets and no heating. Their mum sadly passed
08:29away around a week after giving birth. Not sure of the entire story but the couple didn't come across
08:35as doing everything in their power to save the poor mum.
08:44After the pups terrorized just about everyone they couldn't leave without seeing their favorite dog
08:48Kobe first. Kobe is such a people pleaser. They do also love Moki but you know Moki is just a
08:54little
08:54intense and literally the same size as them. The next few days the puppies really started showing
09:09their personality. They were both so loving. Olive is absolutely crazy and Bonnie is the sweetest little
09:15girl who loves cuddles. They were even starting to show more of an interest in Moki.
09:20She's kissing her. She's kissing her. Oh that's very cute.
09:28She's probably trying to bind them. Oh good girl Moki. Yeah!
09:41But even Moki has some personal space boundaries.
09:46Olive come out for lunch there.
09:51This is such a delight. It's okay you're safe come on. Come on Olive get go.
09:56Get go.
09:58So now the puppies have had their first jab we can really begin socializing them starting with
10:03taking them to town. By the way I know some people are going to say just put them on the
10:07ground
10:07and they'll be fine. And honestly they probably will be. But in our minds we think it's just not
10:11worth risking them getting a disease when all we have to do is wait another four weeks for their
10:16second jab. Then we know they're 100% protected from disease and infection.
10:21We offered people to pet the puppies. We thought it would be a great way to get them used to
10:25being
10:25pet. And of course they loved it.
10:43And then we took them into a coffee shop. Again we thought it would be great for them to get
10:49used to
10:49all the sounds. All the people. And they were out. Bless them. They would have found the whole thing
10:54so stimulating.
11:00Her face looks so big.
11:04She looks so tight.
11:07About a week passed and just look at the size of them. We couldn't believe how much they've grown
11:12and there were little terrors now.
11:21She's going to do it now.
11:25Hello. Come on Bonnie. Come on. Come on Bonnie.
11:33Come on Bonnie. Come on Bonnie.
11:37Yeah. Good girl. Well done.
11:43As they were getting a bit older, even the dogs started getting on with them a bit more now.
11:47All the boundary teaching that Kobe did earlier was really starting to pay off.
11:51Come on. Good girl. Come on.
11:56Oh there's a lavender. Look at her.
12:18Good boy Kobe.
12:21We honestly just had one big happy pack but unfortunately that wasn't going to last forever.
12:27We fostered these pups to help raise them from a terrible start in life.
12:31And really we had done it. They'd gone from these tiny four week old puppies barely able to walk
12:36to these beautiful pups. And sadly it was time for Olive to go to her forever home.
12:42Everyone got vetted. Because of the breed we wanted to make sure they didn't go to anyone who wanted a
12:46status dog. We honestly wanted to keep them both. But if we did it would have made it so much
12:51harder
12:51to carry on with our mission of rescuing as many dogs as possible.
12:55The sisters had one last goodbye together. And there goes the amazing Olive.
13:00Thank you so much.
13:01No, thank you. Bye darling.
13:03Yeah, we'll do, mate. Missing you later.
13:05Yeah. Travel safely.
13:19And now there was only one pup, we didn't get off to a great start.
13:23Bonnie had a bit of an upset stomach and had some blood in her poo. Because of her young age
13:27we didn't
13:28want to take any risks and took her to the vet. She got a general check up and was fine.
13:32But being a puppy caught the attention of two young ladies.
13:46She's so cute. She's so cute.
13:50Yeah. And it's good socialisation.
14:03Bonnie was super tired after this bless her. But with her sister gone, there was only one
14:08dog that was going to fill that void and it didn't get off to a great start.
14:28Moki was playing too hard with Bonnie and Bonnie was telling her off for it.
14:32Honestly, I wasn't sure what to do here. I didn't know whether I should intervene or not.
14:37But I decided to leave it to the dogs to sort it out.
15:04And after whatever that was, they were beginning to show signs of figuring it out.
15:35And over the next few days,
15:37their relationship grew and grew.
15:41How funny.
15:45Bonnie's going to town.
15:49Look at Bonnie.
15:51What is that?
15:55She's like, I want to get involved, but I'm not big enough.
15:59How funny.
16:02She's like, I'm helping out.
16:04What is she doing?
16:06What is she doing?
16:09Take that.
16:12Bonnie thought she was even the mum at one point.
16:15Oh.
16:17She's sucking on her teeth.
16:21I was like, what's that about?
16:23Did you just say that?
16:25Yeah.
16:27She's got a pin on.
16:33And this was really hard.
16:35Although we knew we shouldn't, we were honestly thinking of keeping Bonnie, but we couldn't.
16:39Actually, a pregnant Saint Bernard came up who needed our help.
16:42Subscribe so you can keep up to date on her.
16:45But this was the final goodbye for Bonnie.
16:47The night before she left, not going to lie, we let her sleep in the bed.
16:51We grew really attached to this one.
16:52She's the most lovable and cuddly little thing.
16:57I don't want you to go.
17:00I don't want her to go either.
17:02Look, she's cleaning me.
17:04She's grooving me.
17:06We're bonded, aren't we?
17:10No, she just felt too much.
17:14You're going to miss her, Kobe.
17:15Kobe's like, I cannot wait for this one to go.
17:18Look at her eyes.
17:24She's going to an amazing family with people who absolutely love dogs.
17:28And just like that, it looks like the journey for the puppies has ended with us,
17:32but they have their whole life ahead of them.
17:41And it looks like we've got a whole load more puppies on the way.
17:45I hope you enjoyed the video.
