00:00When we were going out of the campaigning, she would have told me that she didn't secure the funds that
00:05she was expecting to get from finances.
00:09And as soon as the election would have completed in 2021, she would have gone to her mother and she
00:16would have gotten the money.
00:18However, throughout the process, her mother had died.
00:23Mr. Bakker said a letter from the IDA was given to him dated March 19th, giving the assurance of a
00:31May 4th, 2026 payment in full to him.
00:34The letter was obtained by TV6 News.
00:37I did call and she spoke to everybody.
00:40She told everybody that on the 4th of May, she would have paid in full and she would send letters.
00:45She did send the letters and moving closer to the 4th of May, the Saturday before that Monday, she called
00:57one of the guys in Trinidad and tell him that, unfortunately, she would not be able to make the payment.
01:04Mr. Bakker says he wants the monies owed by the IDA so he can pay his outstanding debts.
01:11I have gotten the job done. So I'm basically calling her to pay, you know, do the right thing, the
01:18moral thing.
01:19When contacted, IDA leader Dr. Denise Oyafatangas acknowledged the monies owed following the THA election of 2021 and said some
01:29has been paid.
01:31She claimed threats have since been made on the lives of her family and herself and the matter has been
01:38reported to police.
01:39Mr. Bakker said no threats were made towards the IDA leader.
01:44He, however, is calling for the outstanding monies owed to be cleared by the IDA.
