00:00Collagen when I think of oxtail. So let's go castaway cream. We're gonna go moisturizer.
00:07We're gonna go plump that skin up.
00:12Hey it's Aisha Curry. I'm here with Essence and this is just a tease.
00:17First because my skin was driving me insane and I couldn't find anything in the market that was
00:24working for me. And then on the flip side I come from this big beautiful Jamaican heritage and
00:30growing up my mom and my grandma would tell me about all of the beautiful ingredients that could
00:35help your skin from the land. I didn't listen to them until I was an adult but I'm glad I
00:40did
00:41because now we have this beautiful line together to celebrate our heritage and have our skin looking
00:47next. I was definitely inspired by my mom. She always kept it simple but she looked gorgeous
00:53and I thought that was really admirable. And then my grandma. My grandma is gorgeous but she is the
01:01type of woman that would wake up first thing in the morning, put on a full beat and be ready
01:05for
01:05whatever was gonna come her way that day. I love to lay the entire line out on my counter and
01:12just
01:12go for it. We apply the serums, the vitamin C. If it's nighttime it's gonna be the Good Youth Retinol
01:18serum, then moisturize. I like to mix my power oil with my castaway cream and there's some other things
01:25that I can't talk about. Yummy, nostalgic and warm. There's a lot of warm baking spices in it so I
01:33feel
01:34like warm. If I had to pick who uses the most lip treatments in the house it's neither I or
01:40my husband,
01:40it's definitely my girls. But if I had to pick between Stefan or I, I actually think him. He's
01:47he's a great salesperson for me. The meal I'm obsessed with cooking it's oh it's always gonna be
01:52oxtail. It just is what it is. It brings me comfort. It's nostalgic to me. It just transports me back
02:00to
02:01my childhood so that inner child is happy when I'm physically making it. I prefer the intuitive route.
02:06I don't necessarily like following recipes but that's how I fell into food in the first place.
02:12I love how you could play around with things. You don't have to necessarily go off of measurements
02:17and you can still come out with something beautiful and delicious. That's really hard because my favorite
02:22meal is oxtail and that doesn't necessarily give skin care but I think of collagen when I think of
02:32oxtail. So let's go castaway cream. We're gonna go moisturizer. We're gonna go plump that skin up.
02:39The eye cream. When you're having a busy sleepy hustle sort of day it's nice sometimes to just
02:46reapply that. You can use it in the corners of your nose around the mouth and so I just feel
02:51like it
02:52really works for a lot of things. No questions asked Michelle Obama every time. A product that's
02:58become my lifeline but actually since it's existed has been my lifeline is our Pava toner. It's one of
03:06the first products that we set out to develop and I just feel like it really does what it says
03:12it's
03:13going to do and gets the job done and shrinks the pores and keeps the skin bright and keeps the
03:18surface
03:18nice and exfoliated daily and I just love it. I would definitely say the group chat gets most excited
03:27about the lip treatments because we get to bounce off of each other and say like we think this
03:32flavor would be great we think that flavor would be great and so we kind of just pull together the
03:37team and and and see who gets the most votes. We have some really cool things coming up with Sweet
03:45July scan that we have been working so hard on and developing and testing. A lot of it is going
03:51to be
03:51for those loungy self-care days and some of it is going to be things that create a bit of
03:59an ease.
03:59Thanks for tuning in. This is Aisha Curry with Just A Tease. Thank you guys. That was fun.
