00:00The last two nights for the Yankees have really exposed
00:03one of their big issues offensively,
00:06and that is they strike out a lot.
00:09And then the other night they had three hits
00:11and they were all home runs.
00:13And sometimes, especially in October,
00:15this team becomes too reliant on the home run,
00:18which isn't always there in the postseason
00:20because the pitching is better, the weather is colder,
00:23the ball doesn't travel as much.
00:25So you need guys in your lineup that make contact,
00:29especially when the pitching gets better.
00:32You know, 34 strikeouts over the last two games,
00:34which is a franchise record, I mean, that just can't happen.
00:37And if that happens in the postseason,
00:38the Yankees are not going to get to the World Series.
00:40I think they will, but if they strike out like that, they won't.
00:43So when I think about the deadline and I think about,
00:46oh yeah, Scooble, you know, that's a big splash,
00:49but it's not a need for the Yankees.
00:52The player to me that is a perfect fit here is Luis Arise.
00:56He doesn't strike out.
00:57He, like, literally doesn't strike out.
00:59He hits for a very high average.
01:02He is so different than what is currently on this Yankee team
01:07as far as the players they have that are mostly all or nothing.
01:11So you bring in Arise who won't strike out.
01:15He will make contact.
01:16He will get on base.
01:18He will set up players like Rice and Stanton and Judge and Bellinger.
01:23So then you can hit the home run or you could hit the double to get Arise in.
01:28But yeah, I want to bring in a guy like Arise because he doesn't strike out.
01:32He makes a ton of contact.
01:34He's very unique in baseball because most players do strike out a lot these days.
01:38And I just think Luis Arise would be the perfect fit,
01:41the perfect trade acquisition for the Yankees in a month.
