00:00I remember a time where I would never be seen without makeup.

00:04I wouldn't go to the grocery store without makeup.

00:07But now it's like the feeling of being

00:09able to be made up or completely natural,

00:12and that you feel the same in both scenarios.

00:15That's how I know that I'm where I'm supposed to be.

00:18From high school on, I didn't really

00:20care about how I looked.

00:23I was very focused on fun, let's say that.

00:25One day, one of my guy friends was like,

00:27I think I'm going to try this new diet and start working out.

00:29I'm like, all right.

00:31And I was extremely overweight at that point.

00:33So I changed everything about my life, how I ate, what I did,

00:38who I spent my time with.

00:39I became more and more obsessed of how I looked,

00:42and so much more critical of myself.

00:44And I remember getting to the point where I was like,

00:46I look the best I've ever looked, and I feel like absolute crap.

00:51You think you reach your goals, and you find happiness.

00:55And what I realized was that you have to find happiness.

00:58And that is a separate thing from what you look like,

01:02what job you have, or any of it.

01:04Unapologetic confidence to me is really feeling at peace

01:09with who you are in your exact state.

01:12Those things that make you different and unique are the beauty.

01:17My opinions on beauty standards really kind of reveal my inner confidence.

01:23More than anything, we're not all kind of this cookie-cutter standard of beauty.

01:27What I really love about what European Wax Center is doing is they're really celebrating

01:31being bold, being unique, celebrating those nuances about who we are as people and as women.

01:37My beauty philosophy has evolved over time.

01:39I look so forward to putting on my makeup, like loving a long lash extension,

01:44or playing with a really full brow even though I might not have full brows.

01:48It's about not taking yourself so seriously and really feeling so confident that you're able

01:55to have some fun and relax.
