Nicole Miller's spring show had a lot going on in the way of pattern. But, what had us mesmerized? The models' low-riding, cool-girl crown braids. Though we've seen many a variation on the crown-style braid in the past, we've gotta say this close-to-the-forehead version has us giddy with possibility. (We're picturing ourselves donning it at a music festival as we speak.)   So, to help us master this bohemian 'do, we called in hair pro Bethany Brill. She's braided her way to being our go-to for easy, pretty styles — and this was no exception. With a little instruction, our styling assistant Rachel landed herself a look fit for a queen. 00:08There's this really awesome low-riding crown braid that I saw in September at

00:12the Nicole Miller Fashion Show, so Bethany's gonna teach me how to do it.

00:16Start with damp hair and incorporate about a handful of mousse throughout your

00:20hair, root to end. Use your hands and a blow dryer to rough up the texture.

00:30Now we're going to add a little bit of volume by teasing the crown.

00:36Separate the hair at the back of the head into two sections. It doesn't have to be perfect.

00:42Start with a section at the nape of the neck and begin French braiding towards the front

00:48of your face, incorporating hair as you go. Leave this braid loose and messy.

01:01Finish loosely braiding and tie the end with an elastic. Following the direction of the

01:08French braid, you're gonna pin the tail around the head, hiding the end at the top, secure

01:13with bobby pins. Make sure everything's loose and you can pull out a few flyaways to complete

01:20the look. I love a classic Heidi braid, but this is a really cool update for spring.
