00:09Hi, today inside the Beauty Test Lab I'm going to be trying out the Kevin Murphy Color Bug.
00:14It's like makeup for your hair. It's a chalk hair color that you can apply and wear it for one
00:20day or one night and then wash it out.
00:22I've chosen this coppery, bronzish color. I think it'll complement and hopefully zhuzh up my own hair color that I
00:30have right now.
00:31And essentially you just put the chalk into your hair and it dyes it right away. So we're going to
00:35give it a go.
00:36So the first thing you want to do is put on a smock or a towel. The next thing you
00:40want to do is prep your hair with some kind of spray.
00:42I'm going to try a simple prep spray to get the chalk to adhere to my hair.
00:47So I think you just want to spray the ends until they're slightly damp.
00:50We're just going to start rubbing in the color and I'm going to start from the bottoms and see what
00:53happens.
00:55Rub a little vigorously. I guess just try to work it in a bit. And I'm starting to see it
00:59a little bit.
01:00It's not like a really drastic color. It's much more subtle and shimmery like fairy dust.
01:05But you can definitely see the difference between one side of my hair and the other.
01:08It will not stain your clothing. Just be warned that your hands will get a little dirty.
01:12So I'm going to finish up and do the other side so that we can see the complete look.
01:18I'm going to let it set for a few minutes and then take off my smock and see what it
01:23looks like.
01:27The texture kind of feels a little bit different. It actually almost feels like beach hair and that's kind of
01:31great.
01:32This bronze color worked really well for me, but if you want to be a little bit more daring,
01:35the Kevin Murphy color bug also comes in pastels and neon so you can do something really dramatic.
