00:22remarkable heritage complexes.
00:24Located in Taiwan, the capital of Changxi province, it brings together ancient architecture,
00:31natural scenery, and rich cultural legacy.
00:34Its preservation is part of public policies aimed at restoring and promoting the collective
00:41memory of the world's oldest continuous civilization.
00:47When we promote cultural tourism, we should focus on historical architecture and the figures
00:52who are part of our past.
00:56Changxi has numerous historic buildings and many important figures.
01:00When we talk about China's 5,000 years of history, Changxi is clear evidence of that legacy.
01:05This shows that the history of this province deserves to be explored.
01:09Here, people can discover ancient civilization, culture, and many Chinese traditions.
01:17The Jinxi complex preserves nearly 100 ancient structures across an area of around 130 hectares, including
01:27halls, pavilions, sculptures, and bridges integrated with gardens, springs, and 1,000-year-old trees.
01:37The Zhou Bai Cypress also has more than 3,000 years of history.
01:43Together with the Song Dynasty painted sculptures and the Nanlao Spring, it forms part of the
01:47Three Treasures of Jinxi.
01:50The temple also houses iconic works, such as the Fei Liang Bridge and Xi'an Hall, widely recognized
01:55in the history of Chinese architecture.
01:58What can be seen here is a 3,000-year-old heritage site preserved in its original state, something
02:04that is difficult to find elsewhere.
02:08Heritage preservation policies also aim to improve people's lives by creating jobs and

02:16The growth of tourism, together with improved service, has turned these heritage sites into
02:23new drivers of sustainable development.
02:25From the angle of a tour guide, I see a big change for development of tourism, because
02:31we focused on mining in the past, and in the recent 10 years we started to develop tourism.
02:39Tourism helped us to put emphasis on our protection, our architectures, and we also developed the environment.
02:50So we are transforming from heavy industry into a new energy and tourism industry.

03:05of development vision aimed at preserving historical memory and projecting it into the future, combining
