00:00Thanks, Deesha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. Here's a rundown on your weather.
00:05Let's begin with what we can expect tonight. Tonight, we'll have patches of showers likely at times
00:11with a chance of the odd isolated thunderstorm with minimum temperatures at 24 degrees in Trinidad and 25 in Tobago.
00:19And the Met Office says tomorrow will be generally sunny and hazy,
00:24but we will get those party cloudy swells and showers more likely during the early morning
00:29as well as during the evening and night. There is also the possibility of thunderstorm activity
00:35mainly over southern areas. So although we will get some sunshine, you will need the umbrellas as well.
00:42And Saharan dust concentration is expected to be mild. We have daytime temperatures reaching up to 32 degrees
00:48in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago. And for the next two days, well, Friday will be brighter than your Saturday
00:55with generally sunny and hazy skies with the likelihood of a few party cloudy swells and showers.
01:02And Saturday, things will get a bit gloomy with cloudy skies and periods of showers
01:06that can give way to some thunderstorm activity. Let's take a look at our sun times now.
01:12In Trinidad, sunrise is at 553 and 548 in Tobago and sunset at 631 in Trinidad and 629 in Tobago.
01:20And if you feel like postponing all your errands and head to the beach instead, I support that decision.
01:27Seas will be moderate with waves near 1.5 meters in open waters and below 1 meter in sheltered areas.
01:34It's now time for your Thai times.
01:44You know, I always say drink your water and stay hydrated. But did you know that as people age,
01:50they become more vulnerable to dehydration? Yeah, that's because their brain's thirst signal
01:57becomes less sensitive, meaning they may not feel thirsty even when their body needs water.
02:03This risk is increased by lower body water reserves due to muscle loss, certain medications,
02:09age-related kidney changes, fear of frequent bathroom visits, and memory-related conditions
02:16such as dementia and Alzheimer's. Now, older adults can stay hydrated by building simple habits
02:23into their daily routine, such as keeping water visible, drinking a glass with every meal,
02:29certain phone reminders, carrying a water bottle when you're going out, eating water-rich foods
02:34like cucumbers and melons, or simply giving your folks a call to remind them to drink water,
02:41especially on a hot day. Well, now you know. And that's all for weather tonight.
02:47Satchin, the West Indies won their game last night. That's some good news there.
