CTP (S4E163) Hypocrisy And Taxes
We call out political hypocrisy by comparing what leaders say on the campaign trail with what they do once they get rich and powerful. We also argue that incentives drive tax revenue, economic growth, and even how people respond to climate and land management claims.
• Bernie Sanders as an example of shifting rhetoric once personal wealth changes
• why “tax the 1%” arguments ignore avoidance, loopholes, and incentives
• the Laffer Curve claim that lower rates can increase total tax revenue
• a proposed wealth tax aimed at large university endowments to fund debt relief
• the Bradford Colony story as a warning about communal property and forced collectivism
• biblical charity framed as voluntary help for those unable, not a blank check for the unwilling
• climate predictions contrasted with beachfront purchases and everyday policy choices
• wildfire prevention arguments focused on brush clearing and fire breaks

00:00Hello, welcome to another episode of Perstitutionalist Podcast.
00:06I am your host, Joseph M. Leonard.
00:09That's L-E-N-A-R-D.
00:12It looks French.
00:13It's not.
00:14It's Leonard without an O.
00:17Thank you for tuning in, as Graham Norton used to say, on his show.
00:24Let's get on with the show!
00:25This is a cheat segment.
00:31I am recording this as a lead-in to a standard Saturday show
00:39that is going to now air through the audio platforms,
00:4725 plus, of Perstitutionalist Podcasts,
00:51what was formerly a CTP video exclusive
00:57that I feel needs to go out as a regular show.
01:02So, bear that in mind when recorded.
01:06It was a video exclusive.
01:09The dates.
01:10It could be from a month ago.
01:12It could be from a couple months ago.
01:14Bear that in mind when you hear things regarding time frames.
01:19It may be from a while ago.
01:23Particular references may be a little dated.
01:29And this segment of cheat, right?
01:32I'm recording it.
01:33I'll be using it with several video exclusives
01:38turned Saturday episodes.
01:40Without further ado,
01:42let's get on with the show!
01:47I just wanted to take a couple minutes
01:50to talk again about hypocrisy.
01:56I was just recording with a podcast.
02:00Should I say?
02:01Yeah, Uh-huh is the name.
02:04And it should air probably next week or the week after.
02:09And it was a good discussion.
02:11It was a great discussion.
02:12I recommend watching the show when it drops.
02:15And, of course, I will share across my social media platforms
02:20when the link's available.
02:22But the point I'm getting to is
02:25there was some contention during it
02:28because one of the people was a Bernie Sanders supporter.
02:32I brought up left hypocrisy.
02:37Actually, the host, Lisa, brought it up, kind of,
02:42and was talking about it.
02:44And so as part of it, I brought up Bernie Sanders.
02:48You notice Bernie used to say over and over,
02:53we're going to have millionaires and the billionaires.
02:57We're going to do something about the millionaires and the billionaires.
03:02You notice he leaves out the millionaires part now.
03:07Now, why?
03:08Because he's a millionaires, many times over, multimillionaire now.
03:16With a quarter million dollar sports car,
03:20multiple properties, including one a beachfront property,
03:25while still all the while peddling man-made climate change,
03:31money laundering hoax scheme.
03:35I have all these lands you've been saying for 30-plus years
03:41are going to be underwater in 10 years.
03:4530 years later, you bought a beachfront property.
03:50You're clearly, your actions tell everything.
03:56You're not worried about the beachfront being erased.
04:00You bought a home on the beachfront.
04:03You lying sack of shit.
04:08And then the guy says,
04:12oh, well, Bernie always said we just need to tax the top 1% more
04:20to gloss over and ignore the,
04:23he dropped the millionaires part.
04:26Well, yeah, he says one thing on the campaign trail,
04:31and other times he says the other thing on the campaign trail,
04:34depending on who he's trying to sucker at the time.
04:40So no more concern about millionaires now that he's won.
04:45But let's, oh, tax the 1%, let's talk about that.
04:50Tax the 1% more when already the top 10% are paying 50% of all the taxes already.
05:02And it don't work.
05:06We know every time you raise the taxes on the rich,
05:14their lawyers and accountants dig in more in the loopholes
05:20and find ways to hide the money from the taxable income.
05:27You morons never learned this.
05:33Trump is trying to re-sure the money
05:42by lower taxes.
05:45And if it's a threat that the tax is going to go,
05:50Liz Warren, oh, a wealth tax.
05:53Well, here's an idea.
05:55All right, I'll be for a wealth tax in one case.
06:00Let's agree then, Liz.
06:03Pocahontas, you want a wealth tax?
06:06You want loan college debt forgiveness?
06:12Okay, let's tax all the colleges and universities
06:19with an endowment over $50 million.
06:24Let's confiscate 10% of all of those endowments
06:33over $50 million,
06:36and then we can give some of that
06:41to people in the form of college debt relief,
06:47the people who stole the money from the students
06:52in the first place.
06:55The schools who overcharged in the tuition
07:01be the ones to pay for that.
07:04Okay, Liz?
07:07Can we agree on that wealth tax?
07:10Of course not, because the colleges
07:14and the professors are all ultra-leftists
07:17and give to Liz Warren and Bernie Sanders' campaigns.
07:23But this goes back all the way to JFK,
07:27the Laffer curve.
07:29It wasn't defined then, but it applied.
07:33Rising tide lifts most boats.
07:37You can't say all boats
07:40because that's devoid of human nature understanding.
07:45There will always be left-hards
07:47who will be out there drilling holes in their own boats
07:53just so you can help lift it.
07:57And they will also drill holes in other people's boats
08:01and try to blame you for it sinking
08:06while you're trying to help it lift.
08:09So a rising tide lifts most boats.
08:13The left will always attempt to sabotage the boats.
08:19JFK cut taxes across the board,
08:25especially it was a 90% tax bracket at one time.
08:31Eliminated.
08:33What happened?
08:35Did the government go broke?
08:38Did the government lose all the tax revenue?
08:43No.
08:44It went up.
08:47Because of the Laffer curve.
08:50People tax less,
08:53find less excuse to hide money from taxation.
08:58This is simple to understand,
09:01but the left don't know.
09:04They don't want to know.
09:05They refuse to learn.
09:09We are all ignorant of things.
09:12They choose stupid.
09:15That's the difference.
09:17Stupid is a choice.
09:19Leftists are stupid.
09:22They don't know.
09:23They don't want to know.
09:24They go out of their way to refuse to know anything.
09:31JFK cut taxes.
09:34Treasury revenues went up.
09:36Reagan cut taxes.
09:38Treasury revenues went up.
09:41Even the first term of Clinton,
09:43there were some cuts.
09:46Treasury revenue went up until later he raised taxes.
09:49G.W. Bush tax cuts.
09:51Treasury revenue went up.
09:54Trump's first term cut taxes.
09:57Treasury revenue went up.
10:01Trump's second term tax cuts.
10:05Treasury revenue will go up.
10:08Because again, why?
10:11In part,
10:12in part,
10:13it's complicated.
10:15It's complex.
10:17Laffer study in the Laffer curve goes into this.
10:21Part of it's economics.
10:24Part of it's mentality.
10:26Tax less.
10:28People find less of a need or feel or desire to want to hide the revenue.
10:36Their income from taxation.
10:39Therefore,
10:41more comes in.
10:42Also,
10:43you cut taxes.
10:45It's gross.
10:47Businesses have more to invest in their own businesses.
10:50And companies don't pay taxes.
10:54People do.
10:55The company,
10:56if you raise the taxes,
10:59raises the prices of the goods to cover the taxes.
11:04This isn't difficult stuff to figure out.
11:08But don't raise taxes or better cut them,
11:13lower them.
11:14Prices may not come down a whole lot,
11:17but they won't increase.
11:20That's how inflation is.
11:22There's supply and demand side.
11:25There are other economic factors involved wise also.
11:31So reducing taxes is a pro-growth policy.
11:35And the other part of the equation is as the economic tide grows,
11:42it's not a set-defined thing.
11:46The pie grows.
11:48More room for more slices for more people.
11:52As the pie grows,
11:54the tax base grows.
11:57The tax revenues increase even at lower rates.
12:05Real world economics.
12:09Not Thomas Freeman.
12:11Commenomics theory.
12:14That doesn't work.
12:17TinyURL.com slash Bradford Colony Lessons
12:21or slash Bradford Colony History.
12:25I forget which of the two now.
12:28Or tinyURL.com slash JLD Articles for sure.
12:33It takes you to my Before It's News site.
12:35You can search through the long list since 2015.
12:39I started writing there.
12:42Wrote other places long before that.
12:45Bradford Colony.
12:47The Real History.
12:48The Mayflower Commie Compact.
12:51Communism was tried.
12:54Communism Socialism was tried here.
12:57Before Marx ever came along and thought he invented it.
13:03No, you dumbasses.
13:06You morons.
13:07That's why the left took civics and history out of the schools.
13:14Put social studies.
13:16Social theory.
13:19Social theory.
13:20Commie-nomics.
13:22Commie theory.
13:24Commie.
13:25We wish history were this way.
13:28Or we want to present history this way.
13:31Because we don't like dealing in reality.
13:34We only want delusion.
13:37That's why civics and history are gone from school for social studies.
13:42They don't want you to know Bradford Colony.
13:47They tried it here.
13:49They almost all starved to death.
13:52Then Bradford pivoted from collective rights to individual rights and personal responsibilities.
14:02From communal property to private property ownership.
14:10And those who were able to profit off their land grew more.
14:17They ate more.
14:19They survived.
14:21They thrived rather than starved out.
14:24And the rest, they say, is history or Paul Harvey.
14:28Now you know the rest of the story.
14:32The left refuses to teach you.
14:37They don't want you to know that.
14:40Our founding fathers knew that.
14:44Bradford, the Commie Mayflower Compact, was a bargain they made in England in order to get the funding to come
14:55to America.
14:56Their commonwealth, that's the origin of that word.
15:05A commonwealth.
15:08Everybody supposedly was supposed to work.
15:14And everyone then would equally share in the rewards.
15:19But that never happens.
15:22Atlas shrugs and ran.
15:23There are always, it's why Jesus said, the poor will always be among you.
15:29There will always be lazy people.
15:32Who do the less than the bare minimum to try to survive.
15:37Especially if there's communist moron idiots willing to give them things they didn't earn.
15:49You must sow to reap.
15:53You don't get to just reap.
15:56You gotta work.
15:59Unless, and the Bible makes it, I'm on disability.
16:03I've said it over and over.
16:04There's a distinction in the Bible between the unable to do for self and those who are unwilling to do
16:13for self.
16:14We are to want to be our brother's keeper.
16:18Those who are brothers and sisters, widows and orphans.
16:22Those who are unable to take care of themselves.
16:26It is our Christian duty under God's free will to want to choose to help them versus those who are
16:38unwilling.
16:39There is no obligation whatsoever to.
16:44So Bradford went from the insisted upon Mayflower Commie Compact, worldly communism, back to biblical community.
16:59Free will.
17:01Choice.
17:02Options.
17:03You want to take care of your neighbors, but you've got no obligation to those who are unwilling.
17:11The left claims to believe in Darwinism, but when survival of the fittest comes up?
17:18Oh no!
17:19You must protect the stupid from themselves rather than them die off by natural selection.
17:27So anyway, it's really about taxes and hypocrisy.
17:33Sand cards.
17:36Billionaires and billionaires.
17:38No, only about the billionaires now that he's a multimillionaire.
17:42A kid with a quarter of a million dollar sports card.
17:46Reagan, trust but verify.
17:47Don't believe me.
17:48Look it up.
17:50At a valid source.
17:51I'm not talking CNN or the MSN becils or Mother Jones or Huffington Poop Poop Post.
18:00Opinion sites.
18:02No.
18:02Real fact-based sites.
18:05Bernie is a multimillionaire.
18:08Bernie changed his tune.
18:11Bernie plays you morons for suckers.
18:16To keep building his wealth and keep him in power as one of the ruling elites, you will
18:23never get to be part of.
18:28He's got a quarter million sports card.
18:31He's got multiple homes, one on the coast, that if you believed him, Pocahontas, Al Gore,
18:38Greta Coon Moran and all them, about 10 years ago, would have been underwater.
18:45But it's not.
18:47Because it's climate.
18:49Man-made climate change.
18:52Money laundering scheme hoax.
18:55Yes, the climate always changes.
18:59Always.
19:00The Dust Bowl was real man-made climate change.
19:06That case, it was real.
19:09We cut too much down.
19:12It created too much hope.
19:14There were no breaks for the wind and the weather.
19:18So, the Dust Bowl happened.
19:23But left won't learn from that.
19:26It's the same with the fires today.
19:29No.
19:30They can't allow us to manage the land and properly put in breaks where it needs to be in our
19:39greenery.
19:41Yeah.
19:42You might upset Bambi and Thumper for a few minutes.
19:47Oh, you're going to have to go relocate 100 yards that way.
19:53Because we need to put a fire break in here and clean up the brush.
20:01Fire break.
20:03So, if and when a fire happens, lightning causes fires naturally, as well as you leftist arsonists that are doing
20:13it.
20:13There are plenty of stories on that, too.
20:15But fire breaks, less, less acreage would be burning.
20:22If we managed our...
20:24It's the opposite of the Dust Bowl.
20:27You refuse to learn from.
20:29We cut too much then.
20:32Now, you morons, don't want to cut anything.
20:37And it's...
20:38Does it...
20:40Is it better for Bambi and Thumper to burn to death in a fire, you morons, allowed to happen, than
20:53be relocated 100 yards?
20:56Yeah, you'll have to set up your new home over there.
20:58Because we've got to put a fire break through here.
21:01But it's better than being burned to death, you retards!
21:10This is simple stuff to understand.
21:16Bernie, look it up, Reagan.
21:19Trust me, verify.
21:20Don't look it up on valid sources.
21:22You can see him lying, his changing of positions.
21:27You can verify his wealth.
21:31But you don't know, because you don't want to know.
21:35You refuse to know.
21:40All right, anyway.
21:41So, moral of the story.
21:44It's really stupid.
21:46Yes, at times you need to raise...
21:49No one I know is for no taxation.
21:53The tariffs thing.
21:55All right, got to touch on that.
21:56There was a time before the 16th Amendment, this nation thrived well, strived and was the richest nation on the
22:06planet then, on tariffs only, and we had a safety net.
22:12I'm for a safety net for the unable, not a safety hammock for the lazy.
22:23That's the problem here, and the difference.
22:26No one I know is for no taxation whatsoever.
22:29No one I know.
22:32You have to have some to cover.
22:35We all agree.
22:37Communal police departments, fire departments are good.
22:43We don't have to have our own all personal security.
22:48That's what a police station's supposed to help for.
22:52We don't have to all have our own many fire readinesses at each and every home.
23:01That's what the fire department's for.
23:04We agree.
23:05Taxes for certain things.
23:09School.
23:10Oh, throw more money at it.
23:12Money isn't the problem.
23:13We keep throwing more and more and more and more money at the commie teachers' unions and the education scores.
23:24The education level keeps going down and down and down.
23:28The money isn't the problem.
23:30The problem is the policy.
23:33The problem is your desire to indoctrinate rather than educate.
23:42And you oppose school choice.
23:44Even though I heard on the radio the other day, X amount of teachers all have their kids at private
23:52school.
23:53X amount and Y amount of administrators all have their kids.
23:58Politicians, especially on the left.
24:00Z amount all have their kids at private school.
24:03They want your kids in the public indoctrination factors, but not theirs.
24:09And they oppose you having any choice.
24:15Amazing how that works.
24:17The hypocrisy of the left.
24:22We need to go back to real education, not just throwing more money at it.
24:26And the thing with all the Social Security, I've got a show on that.
24:30It's not going bankrupt due to legitimate people.
24:36It's going, it's being defrauded.
24:40Waste fraud and abuse.
24:42All the fraud, cut the fraud and Social Security will be fine for the next 30 or 50 years without
24:51having to raise the tax on it.
24:56It's simple.
24:58This is basic math and basic economics, but they don't teach that in school.
25:04They don't want anyone to understand it.
25:08Basic accounting, I call for an accounting 101 class in every high school.
25:15You've got to understand debits and credits and both sides of the ledger matters.
25:21They don't want you educated.
25:25They want you stupid because stupid people who refuse to educate themselves are easier to control.
25:35If we cut out the waste fraud and abuse, we can get closer to balancing a budget and need to
25:43start to pay down our debt.
25:44Because like Social Security, we're being waste frauded and abused into bankruptcy.
25:53And I hate to break it to you, yes, the U.S. can go bankruptcy.
25:57And when it does, there's no money for anyone.
26:03No money for, look at the Soviet Empire, right?
26:08They had to cut the bare bones.
26:10They basically shut down their military, which they could do because we were never going to invade them.
26:17It's always been a lie on their part, a sarse on their part.
26:22If there's no money, there's no money for the unable, let alone the unwilling.
26:33This is simple stuff.
26:36All right.
26:38Reagan, Jode, too long.
26:40Thank you all.
26:41Take care.
26:43God bless.
26:43God bless.
27:17God bless.
27:18Apology we need, but we'll never get from the weak need.
27:22Little delivered regrets.
27:24Sing same old false narrative tunes like you.
27:26Same tired cries with nothing new to prove.
27:29The world passes by.
27:31You keep calling it fate.
27:33But it no longer goes unnoticed.
27:37Too late.
27:38Too late.
27:39We heard it all before.
27:42Every polished excuse.
27:44You saw the same old story.
27:47Now it falls right through.
27:51Apology we need.
27:53Apology we need.
27:54Apology we need.
27:56Say it with your chest.
27:59Say it with your teeth.
28:02Apology we need.
28:03We need.
28:04We need.
28:05Apology we need.
28:06We need.
28:07But you keep on feeding.
28:09That dead old repeat.
28:13Peddling the same tired cries like they cover the stain
28:16But every room goes quiet when you say that name
28:18No more smoke, no more spin, no more soft little lies
28:21The mirror kept the record and it opened our eyes
28:24We heard it all before
28:26Every polished excuse
28:28You saw the same old story
28:31Now it falls right through
28:34Apology we need, we need
28:37Apology we need, we need
28:40Say it with your chest
28:43Say it with your teeth
28:45Apology we need, we need
28:48Apology we need, we need
28:51But you keep on fading
28:53The dead old repeat
29:08Let it land, let it break
29:10No more hiding, no more take
29:13Face the line, read it clean
29:16What you mean, what you meant
29:17What you mean
29:19What you meant, what you mean
29:24Apology we need, we need
29:27Apology we need, we need
29:30Say it with your chest
29:32Say it with your teeth
29:34Apology we need, Apology we need
29:39Apology we need, the world cannot move on
29:45Hear your saints screech
29:51Apology we need, but we'll never get
29:55From the weak and need
29:57Lily livered, but buffoons
30:00Sing the same old false narrative tunes
30:03Like you peddling the same lies
30:06Same crying eyes
30:09Crocodile tears
30:10The world passes by
30:13You keep lying, cheating, stealing
30:17Will it finally get noticed
30:22Life isn't a straight line
30:25It twists
30:27It soars
30:29It drops
30:30Without warning
30:32But it's in those heart-pounding moments
30:36The climbs and the falls
30:38That we discover who we truly are
30:44Rollercoasters

31:23Empty glass on the table
31:27Your side of the bed so cold
31:29I yelled, I screamed
31:31I was able to promise
31:33Our hearts together would grow old now
31:37Silence screams in my head
31:40Every word I wish unsaid
31:43I professed how my heart swelled at your touch
31:47But still put you through hell
31:53Rollercoaster tears
31:56Falling down my face
31:59Fighting all my fears
32:02Lost in this lonely space
32:05Rollercoaster tears

32:13Rollercoaster tears
32:16A love I can't replace
32:24The doorbell rang late that night
32:28The doorbell rang late that night
32:28The sirens wailed flashing light
32:31My world went dark
32:33No sun, no bright
32:34Just endless wrong
32:36No end in sight
32:38My anger burned my foolish pride
32:41My anger burned my foolish pride
32:42Nowhere left for me to hide
32:44I longed to kiss your sweet lips
32:48Lost, gone through my fingers
32:51Slip
32:55Rollercoaster tears
32:57Falling down my face
33:01Fighting all my fears
33:04Lost in this lonely space
33:07Rollercoaster tears
33:10You're gone, no trace
33:14Rollercoaster tears
33:17A love I can't replace
33:39I pledged undying love till dust
33:43But alas, I was never worthy of your trust
33:46Now these nightmares
33:48Won't let me be
33:49I was blind
33:51I could not see
33:58Rollercoaster tears

35:36A love I can't replace
35:47A love I can't replace
35:49That hair is better
35:49Than a two-sier
35:50A love I can't replace
35:51A love I can't replace
35:52A love I can't replace
35:53You're gone, no trace
35:54Up by go, no trace
38:31Teach me how to see the sacred in the middle of an ordinary life.
38:55Maybe the point was the waiting, the slow burn, the stop and go ride.
39:00Oh, the jokes that fall flat, the nights coming back just to sit on the edge of the sky.
39:10Are we just mediocre days with a few bright minutes stitched inside?
39:17Or are there cracks in everything where that quiet, holy light arrives?
39:25If every breath is meant to me more than a box to tick, a line to sign.
39:32And every small forgettable moment was the story the whole time.
39:53Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
39:57Oh, oh, oh, oh.
40:00Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
