CTP (20260708 S4EJulSpecial2) Toxic/Suicidal Empathy Redux BTS/SP Video
CTP (S4EJulSpecial2) Toxic/Suicidal Empathy Redux
Exploring more of the fascinating intersection of Activism, Community Engagement, Faith / Religion, Human Nature, Politics, Social Issues, and beyond - all in Biblical perspective
We challenge the idea that compassion is automatically good, and we argue that empathy without truth can become enabling that harms the very people it claims to protect. We connect “toxic empathy” and “suicidal empathy” to politics, media, and personal ethics by measuring intentions against outcomes.
• defining toxic empathy and why it spreads easily
• examples of “help” that turns into enabling
• abortion and euthanasia framed as empathy claims
• the “suicidal empathy” label and why it resonates
• journalism standards, media bias, and the need for fact-checking
• intentions versus actions and judging results by “fruit”
• empathy grounded in reality plus the able versus unwilling distinction

00:00Hello, welcome to another episode of Perstitutionalist Podcast.
00:06I am your host, Joseph M. Leonard.
00:09That's L-E-N-A-R-D.
00:12It looks French.
00:13It's not.
00:14It's Leonard without an O.
00:17Thank you for tuning in, as Graham Norton used to say, on his show.
00:24Let's get on with the show!
00:26Okay, let's see if I can get this right in my head.
00:30I'm messing with the platform, messing with the formula, is the word I meant to say.
00:38July the 1st is a Wednesday.
00:42Normally, that would be a guest on.
00:46But today, for July the 1st, I want to share a previous video exclusive, Toxic Empathy 2.
01:00It'll be extended because there was a Toxic Empathy, but now there's Toxic Empathy 2.
01:08So, but let's get to it.
01:10Hello, everybody.
01:12Let me apologize.
01:14This is a bit of a disjointed episode.
01:18Why?
01:19Because I actually recorded a third segment, technically a second to Toxic Empathy video exclusive,
01:31which will now be the third segment because this is the first segment.
01:35I'm sorry.
01:37I've confused you already.
01:39Hard to keep it straight in my own head.
01:43Toxic Empathy.
01:44I did a video exclusive on that.
01:47I did Season 3, Episode 147, presenting the prior video exclusive.
01:54Well, there needs to be updates.
01:57So, I'm not sure what episode number this is going to air as, but indeed, it is prior video exclusive.
02:07Toxic Empathy plus some additional thoughts on the end because Gag Sad, sad or sad, G-A-D-S-A
02:18-A-D, wrote Suicidal Empathy.
02:21So, I'll get into that into the third segment.
02:24So, enough of this brief introduction segment.
02:29Yeah, part will be a repeat of the video exclusive and Season 3, Episode 147.
02:36But I think there's enough space between when that aired and now that it's going to be fresh for most
02:43people.
02:44Thank you all.
02:45Take care.
02:45God bless.
02:46Love you all.
02:47Let's get into the Toxic Empathy discussion.
02:50I normally don't promote other people's books.
02:55I mean, yes.
02:58Constitutionalist Podcast, I've had authors on all the time, able to talk about writing and their books promote their book.
03:09I'm happy to do that.
03:11But I mean, like a movie review.
03:17I do those on occasion and promote movies I like.
03:23I've even had books slash authors weeks, October of 2025.
03:29That meant for what?
03:31I think three weeks.
03:33Various authors on.
03:34But I normally don't do this.
03:38What is this?
03:40Well, I'm talking about going to, indeed, talk directly myself, my personal thoughts on someone else's book.
03:54And recently, I just came from Nana's Kitchen again.
04:00And I was just thinking about, you know, people, people in general.
04:05There's someone there that's got TDS.
04:10It's like, she's, I know she's a great person.
04:14But that's what brought this thought about.
04:17And I think most people want to be good people.
04:22And Matthew 23, fakes, frauds, vipers, snakes, false guides, blind guide, Christians, want to be good people.
04:34They think they're good people, but they're misled.
04:38They're easily duped.
04:40And why am I saying this?
04:43The book I'm talking about?
04:45Toxic Empathy.
04:48Perfect timing.
04:50Absolute great book.
04:51Very important book.
04:54Beyond my books, of course.
04:56You should be reading all my books, especially my constitutionalist educational series of books.
05:03But Toxic Empathy.
05:06Nails it.
05:07People who are, want to be good, and the problem, feel they're good people.
05:15Well, they don't, right?
05:19It's wise at the right, fool to the left, right?
05:25The feelings of a fool's, feeling of leftist fools.
05:29The Bible predicted this.
05:32Prophesized our left-right political paradigm.
05:37They're not thinkers.
05:39They don't think anything through.
05:41What are you doing, boo?
05:43I'm hearing commotion in the kitchen.
05:46What are you doing, boo?
05:48The cat.
05:48Boo the cat.
05:51Saddle down in there, spasmatic.
05:54Anyway, Toxic Empathy.
05:57Yes.
05:58Oh, see, like, the people who think it's compassionate and so empathetic to give free, clean needles to heroin addicts.
06:12You're not being compassionate.
06:15You're an enabler to bad habits.
06:19Something that could kill them.
06:21You're not helping them.
06:23You're helping them commit suicide.
06:26But these same people, of course, are all for abortion.
06:30Murdering children.
06:31Oh, that's somehow empathy to murder children who have had no life yet.
06:38Done nothing to no one.
06:40And are for euthanasia.
06:42They're easily duped into because of toxic empathy.
06:48Perfect book.
06:49Great book.
06:50Absolute necessary for our time.
06:52Most people want to be good.
06:55Most people feel, I almost didn't think, feel they're good.
07:01Right?
07:01And my whole life and living series of books about trying to sew good, be better ourselves,
07:08reflecting, look at Michael Jackson-esque, look at the man or woman in the mirror, asking them to change their
07:17way, be a better person.
07:19Rick Springfield, karma album, the karma song itself, the line, the line, my line, my line, my line.
07:30Now I'm thinking of an old Detroit Zoo commercial.
07:34Yeah, yeah, that line, oh, every little love I give to another, you know what I believe?
07:41It comes back to me.
07:43You don't have to be a Christian to believe that sentiment.
07:48But it's not biblical, not in the Bible or of, from the Bible, but it's very biblical.
07:56And also Springfield's prayer, kind of like Michael Jackson's song.
08:00I send a prayer to heaven for the chance to be a better man than the man or woman that
08:07I see, reflected in my mirror, wanting to be better, not being foolish and falling for the woke, toxic empathy.
08:19Most people are good.
08:21Most people might be liberal, not leftist, as I go into in my Constitutionalist Education series.
08:30As Dennis Prager says, there's a difference between a classical liberal who feels their way but are duped by the
08:40left-hard, woke, idiocy, nonsense, toxic empathy.
08:48They're misled, they're misguided.
08:53You can reach a classical liberal still like Brandon Strzok, spelled Strzok up, pronounced Strzok, created the walk-away movement,
09:04a gay white guy, right?
09:06And Candace Owens, she red-pilled, but she's more retard-pilled of late with her nuttiness.
09:18So she's not a great example, but yeah, she got red-pilled, but now she's moved on to overdosing on
09:26retard pills.
09:27But she created Blexit.
09:30The Blexit movement is still something sound, solid, good.
09:37Even though she's gone, woo-hoo, it's cypher still, right?
09:42Insane in the membrane.
09:45She's not toxic empathy, toxic overthink.
09:51I want you to be a thinker.
09:55I don't want you to be an overthinker in a way.
09:58Like, toxic thinking.
10:01Maybe I should write that book.
10:03Toxic thinking.
10:04Candace Owens, a case study.
10:07It's the subtitle.
10:09Anyway, toxic empathy.
10:12I recommend the book.
10:13I do.
10:14I really do.
10:18All right.
10:18I've rambled enough.
10:20This has gone longer than it needs to be.
10:22I think I've laid out everything that needs to be said.
10:26Thank you all.
10:27Take care.
10:27God bless.
10:28Love you all.
10:30Well, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.
10:35Toxic empathy, segment four.
10:40The audio got screwed up.
10:42I recorded it days ago.
10:44Now I got to try to record it again today.
10:46I'm not sure what all I said in that.
10:51So this is probably going to be pretty short as far as this segment goes.
10:56And we'll do some Suno music and book trailer.
11:03But the reason I needed to revisit, talk it, talk, blah, blah, blah.
11:10Can't talk again.
11:11Here we go.
11:12Hit record.
11:13Can't talk.
11:14Toxic empathy.
11:16It's because Gad Saad.
11:20Saad.
11:21Saad.
11:22Saad.
11:23I'm not sure even how to pronounce his name.
11:27But he's, they're all over Fox News and some of the other channels.
11:33Because apparently he has some connections to Fox News and other news personalities.
11:42By seeing Tyrus on Gutfeld introduced the term suicidal empathy.
11:50And why?
11:52Why need to play off toxic empathy?
11:56Well, because Gad Saad decided to write his book.
12:00Now, I'm not sure I haven't read either.
12:04So I understand the concept here.
12:08And I would recommend both books, though it might be a bit of a carbon copy of Taxic Empathy.
12:17And he's calling it Suicidal Empathy.
12:21Or, uh, what else did I hear somebody else say the other day?
12:29But regardless, however you want to characterize the last way overboard of empathy emotion is right.
12:45It's like, I think I said this before in the four recording that got lost.
12:52Bernard Goldberg wrote a book called Bias.
12:56Very good book.
12:57Bernard Goldberg, a very well-respected journalist.
13:03And I'm going to tack on clickbait everywhere on the end of this.
13:09But there's more to real journalism than just citing what someone claims.
13:16That's the problem nowadays.
13:18Most of these people are reporters.
13:22What do you think about XYZ and so-and-so says something?
13:27Like a Chuckie Schumer says something and CNN and the MS imbeciles just run with it as if it's fact.
13:36No fact-checking.
13:38No reality check.
13:41Whatever delusional nonsense the left wants to peddle, they just pass it along as if it's reality.
13:49But real journalism, who, what, why, where, when, and how.
13:54I took journalism classes, I wrote for the high school newspaper, I remember those things.
14:01You can quote someone, and if you're quoting both sides, like quote Chuck Schumer, and then quote a Mike Johnson
14:13speaker of the House, that's still not good enough.
14:17Both might be shading the truth a bit, and you need to deal in the facts, state where they're factual
14:25and state where they're delusional.
14:28Both sides hold all sides accountable.
14:31But Bernard Goldberg wrote a book called Bias, and then a few years later, Ann Coulter came out with a
14:39hyper-partisan right-wing version of basically the same thing called slander.
14:45Well, yes, I've read both those books.
14:50Yes, I like both those books.
14:52But if you're going to read just one of them, you want to read Bernard Goldberg's Bias, because it's actually
14:59written like a real journalist would write, not like Ann's hyper-partisan portrayal of everything.
15:09But Gadsad now has wrote suicidal empathy.
15:14I think it's the same thing as toxic empathy, hypersonic overreactive empathy.
15:22Should I write a book now with that title on the same things?
15:27Once again, I've not read either of them.
15:29I understand the concept.
15:31So I could write a book on it called Hyperactive Overextended Empathy and cover the same basic things and be
15:43completely original, because I've not read either of them.
15:48I'm not going to try to copy either of them.
15:51I could do that.
15:53But no, I'm not like that.
15:55I'm not trying to cash in on somebody else.
15:59So I'm not doing that.
16:00But anyway, we needed to do an update to toxic empathy to point out that indeed toxic empathy, suicidal empathy,
16:13over-hyperactive empathy, if you want to use my term, whatever, it's the same thing.
16:22It's this silly notion of taking Christianity out of context that you're supposed to be sympathetic and empathetic.
16:33It's the old saying, you know, don't be so open-minded that your brain falls out.
16:42And that's what's here.
16:43Don't be so sympathetic or empathetic and so in tune with your feelings.
16:49Oh, touchy feelings.
16:51Like, oh, my God, what is your grievance?
16:54Oh, I can empathize with it.
16:57Again, their grievance may be based on unicorn fart fantasy delusion, not reality-based.
17:07So empathy for empathy stake is just stupid.
17:14It's dumb.
17:16It's moronic.
17:18Whatever other term you want to use.
17:22So anyway, I think I've covered the same things I covered in the recording from before that somehow the audio
17:31was lost and therefore I had to record this segment.
17:35But I'm running a little long now.
17:38So toxic empathy, suicidal empathy, over-hyperactive emotional hysterics, empathy, whatever you want to call it, it's the same thing.
17:49And the left is deploying it because why identity politics and touchy-feely stupidity is all they've got.
17:57They can't talk policy.
18:00Their policy fails.
18:02Their intention.
18:03Oh, but our intention.
18:05I don't care what your intentions are.
18:10I don't care what you say.
18:13Uncle Festerman, I'm talking to you.
18:16I watch how you vote, and 93% of the time you are doing exactly as Chuckie Schumer and George
18:28Soros and whatever his son's name is.
18:31You're doing their bidding.
18:33I don't care what you're saying.
18:35I watch what you do.
18:37You shall be known by your fruits.
18:40I don't care what your intentions are.
18:43What are your actions doing?
18:45Oh, well, I want to help, but if your help is hurting, that's what matters.
18:51What are you sowing?
18:53What is being reaped from what you were sowing?
18:56Oh, I think these are great seeds, and you plant them, and rotten, poisonous fruit comes up, and people are
19:04dying from the rotten, poisonous fruit you've sown.
19:10That's what you are judged on biblically.
19:13The content of your character is what you say is one thing, but the things you do are completely another.
19:23And yes, we are to judge.
19:25Final judgment is for the Lord, but we are to remove the law from thine own eye.
19:31Start there.
19:33Start there.
19:33Judge yourself and all others properly standards, biblical standards.
19:40Okay, I'm going to wrap it up here.
19:43Thank you all.
19:44Take care.
19:45God bless us.
19:46We'll go into a couple of Suno songs and book trailer or trailers.
19:53I'm not sure exactly at this point.
19:55Thank you all.
19:56Take care.
19:56God bless.
19:57Love you all.
19:58Avoid the toxic.
19:59Yes, be sympathetic and empathetic to people who are dealing in reality.
20:06Again, the Bible says there's a distinction between the unable and the unwilling.
20:12If someone who is unwilling is just trying to peddle off that they are unable and therefore just give them
20:19things, no, no, no.
20:22It don't work that way.
20:24Thank you all.
20:26Take care.
23:08Tell me who, tell me how, tell me why
23:10Facts matter, details matter
23:12Write it clear, make the story match the sky
23:20Facts matter
23:24Details are real, who, what, where, when and why
