00:34a head coach i know what i'm getting there but then you also have an offensive coordinator that
00:39has the same amount of coaching experience in the nfl that jay daniels has playing experience in
00:44in the nfl but this is what history will tell you you don't sleep on the washington washington
00:50commanders when jay daniels is at the helm we were sleeping on them in 2024 at least i was
00:56and now all of a sudden they're playing in the nfc championship game against the philadelphia
01:00eagles if jay daniels is healthy which all reports out of minicamp and otas that he looked like his
01:08old self if not better do not sleep on the washington commanders because if this guy is
01:13on his p's and q's he is the most important player in the nfc east because he does move the
01:18needle that much i happen to agree with him i praise i happen to agree with him because there's so
01:23many we we've said we've said it all uh whatever summer that all of this stuff it's almost kind of
01:30silly going through all the different position groups and everything because it all just hinges
01:33on jayden health how are you gonna feel is it different than dak prescott in dallas i just think
01:38he moves the needle more how is it more i mean is it jalen hurts just as valuable for his

01:44jayden is for maybe but i think we could literally be like a three or four win team without him

01:4910 or 11 team i guess the other teams have more help like if philadelphia lost jalen hurts you

01:58because they've got saquon that's the point when you go through all the personnel groupings and you

02:05quarterback especially for a big name quarterback is just as important i generally think any team in
02:12the nfc east if they lose our starting quarterback for a huge chunk of the season they're done like the
02:16backup is not going to be able to sustain they won't be able to replicate but i think the drop
02:20off in washington would be the most i think terek's point is right yeah because we we've been going
02:26through the position groups and you know if a backup steps up for uh jalen hurts they're just going to
02:33have a lot more help around them remember they've got better personnel a couple years ago and the
02:37backup came in and won like five games you remember that bum he won't beat he beat washington yeah i

02:43he won like five games well cooper rush right yeah uh like that's not going to happen here
02:47we don't we're not good enough yeah not good enough supporting cast we saw last year but i don't know

03:14they'll have it doesn't matter it doesn't mean they're going to the playoffs they'll have more
03:17success than we do if our quarterback goes down we're in more trouble than anyone that's that's
03:22my point i have more faith in marcus mariotta than i do joe milton or sam howell so you're not
03:26part of the howell hive it's not a point of that cakes it's a point of the other people their
03:32other players are better than ours we we are kind of elite at one position everything else is kind
03:39of and he's he makes everything better i agree with that but if dallas's trigger man goes down
03:45joe milton and sam howell are not leading those guys to the playoffs no matter how talented they
03:50are i would bet for that too but i bet they'd win more games than if our quarterback goes down
03:55maybe because they might win seven and yeah maybe a game or two or five exactly what's crazy is suck

05:23just carried because they just kept going that's that that's not the situation here our quarterback
05:29goes down where it's over more so than other situations it literally the entire team's fortune
05:36hinges on him staying upright and healthy and presumably playing the way he's capable of playing
05:42i just assume he'll play he's a big deal on the whole i think he'll play pretty darn well most

05:55people to the point that there was a period of time when sam howell was here and he was starting

06:05win a few games with sam but yeah i mean sam's nowhere near he's no he's about one 100th the
06:09quarterback jaden is he's lucky to be in the league at this point he's going to be a career
06:13second or third stringer probably more towards third stringer you're right he'll make a good
06:19living and a good career out of it yeah let's just show you how quarterback starved we were you don't
06:24want him to be a starter dude the quarterback salaries are so much baker mayfield is up for an
06:30extension he's in the final year of his contract and i like baker he got a three-year hundred million
06:35dollar deal i think they're talking about baker getting 50 million or more now he's worth it i mean
06:42he's a he's worth it above average starting quarterback in the league and that's above
06:45average right he's not great right he's not elite but he's above average and that's what above
06:50average gets you 50 million a year he's got elite moxie he's got he's got great leadership skills
06:56great leadership skills he's got all of the traits the problem is he loses mike evans this offseason
07:02and chris godwin is kind of a shell of his former self but if he's going to make 50 million
07:06what's jaden going to be making if he has a bounce back season plays like he did as a rookie
07:11james will be making 65 plus million if yeah he's going to make a lot plays like he did if
