SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS, R.D. —Con el dolor intacto tras más de una década de impunidad, la señora Maribel Díaz Hernández acudió a las instalaciones policiales locales para renovar públicamente su exigencia de justicia y solicitar al nuevo mando policial de la plaza el arresto inmediato de Wilson Pichardo Minaya, a quien acusa formalmente por la muerte de su hijo, Juan Antonio Reynoso Díaz (conocido afectuosamente como "Jairo"), ocurrida hace 12 años.

La madre doliente aprovechó la reciente designación de la nueva jefatura regional para pedir que el caso no quede en el olvido institucional y se ejecuten los operativos necesarios para aprehender al acusado.

De acuerdo con el testimonio brindado por Díaz Hernández, el hecho trágico estuvo precedido por rencillas menores; sin embargo, la agresión fatal se produjo en un escenario de total indefensión de la víctima.

Juan Antonio Reynoso Díaz, de 24 años al momento de su muerte, padecía severas complicaciones de salud desde su nacimiento y se encontraba bajo un riguroso y costoso tratamiento médico permanente. La madre relató que el agresor aprovechó un momento en que el joven sufrió un colapso físico o caída en la vía pública para atacarlo brutalmente con un arma blanca (cuchillo), provocándole la muerte.

"Mi hijo estaba bajo tratamiento médico constante. Él aprovechó que el muchacho se cayó y me lo mató clavándole un cuchillo. Fue a un ser humano indefenso a quien le quitó la vida, no a un animal", expresó la denunciante consternada.

Denuncian que el prófugo circula libremente por la zona

La principal indignación de la familia radica en que, a lo largo de estos 12 años, Wilson Pichardo Minaya nunca ha sido arrestado ni ha respondido ante un tribunal de la República.

Según la madre, existen informes de que el prófugo transita con total impunidad en la zona urbana, frecuentando de manera habitual el sector San Martín y la zona conocida como "La 15", lugar donde reside la madre del acusado.

"Él no ha pagado un solo día por el muerto que mató. Anda en la calle como si nada hubiera hecho. Yo le pido al general que me ayude, porque a mi hijo no me lo van a devolver, pero él tiene que pagar por lo que hizo", enfatizó.

Llamado directo a la entrega y a la acción policial

Maribel Díaz Hernández dirigió un mensaje directo al imputado para que cese su evación de la justicia y se entregue a las autoridades correspondientes. Al mismo tiempo, reiteró su confianza en las acciones de la Policía Nacional y exhortó al nuevo mando regional a disponer de equipos de investigación para dar con el paradero del sospechoso.
