00:27East? Axia says Tampa, Feldman says Tampa, Perry says the Yankees, Snyder says the Yankees.

01:08Okay. Some of what they wrote. Axia says this is where the Tigers do right. They go on these notorious
01:17second half surges, a good sign in 2024, and a bad surge in 2025, which makes them due for a
01:24good surge this year.
01:25They've been great since the calendar flipped to June, and the offense has come to life. The White Sox are
01:30a great story and a fun team.
01:31I worry that they won't have enough pitching to get to the finish line.
01:37Snyder picked the Tigers, says, I think the Tigers are going to stay hot and win this thing with something
01:41like 84 wins.
01:44All right. So the two that do not think they will win the division and obviously go to the playoffs
01:50are Kate Feldman and Dane Perry.
01:51So they are asked, who are their playoff teams? Their wildcard teams, I should say. Feldman says, the Yankees, the
02:00Blue Jays, and the Tigers.
02:04Dane Perry says, Tampa, Boston, and Texas.
02:09So three of the four experts at CBS Sports are saying that the Tigers will go to the postseason.
02:16Now, do the Tigers make a postseason run?
02:21They predicted the American League pennant winner.

02:28They just pick the pennant winner.

03:23That's a fascinating question.
03:25And it's one that's playing itself out in one of the biggest drama-filled stories of the next three weeks.

03:41And it's going to be even tougher that Casey Mize got hurt again yesterday.
03:46A severity of which we don't know, but apparently two things were bothering him.
03:49And I'm a huge Casey Mize fan, and I want to see him be a Tiger.
03:53But the people that doubt Casey Mize, this is one of the reasons why.
03:59Nagging groin issue yesterday, and then he gets hit by a hard grounder off his wrist and has to come
04:03out of the game.
04:04And doesn't finish the fourth inning.
04:07You know, it's kind of tough because him being a free agent, you've got to take a risk.
04:14You're either signing him or a risk by letting him go.
04:17You've got to take a risk on counting that this season's version of Casey Mize is going to be what
04:21he's going to be moving forward.
04:22Or, risk that this is a one-off.
