00:00The world's thinnest vacuum cleaner's been unveiled in Japan, and we went to Tokyo to check it out.
00:09It's the Dyson Pencil Vac. It's probably the most maneuverable vacuum cleaner I've used,
00:14and it's perfect for the small space living we're all finding ourselves in these days.
00:18Part of that comes from the incredibly fast, but really small motor. It spins at about nine times
00:23the RPM of an F1 car, but it's also in the bi-directional rotors on the bottom of the
00:28machine that make it feel like it's floating on the floor. So the battery lasts for about half an hour
00:32on a single charge. And there's also a spare hot swappable battery on the dock. Now the way they
00:38were able to get it so thin was they actually removed the big cylindrical drum. Instead all the
00:42dust goes into the main body, and then you eject it out when you finish vacuuming. It's launching in
00:47Japan first, but it'll be here in Australia later this year. It's probably going to be about $950.
