Founder Cristóbal Balenciaga’s debut scent, Le Dix, vanished for years, until archivists unearthed the formula. Kering Beauté saw an opportunity to revitalise the brand’s olfactory heritage while attracting luxury shoppers beyond bags and sneakers.
Reworking the aldehydic floral for modern noses, the team built new compositions around couture codes, think aquatic Getaria (his Spanish hometown) and iris-slick Muscara.
