00:00Meanwhile, the Mets have to make decisions on other players.

00:03We've heard some names thrown around as far as keepers for the future.

00:07You know, clearly Juan Soto, Benj, Ewing, Scott, McClain.

00:11Lindor's name was not mentioned.

00:13And so that has led to some speculation, Tom, that maybe he would be moved.

00:17But naturally, by the way, I think Lindor in the last 15 years, last 10 years,

00:21one of the best shortstops in the game, period.

00:23But a lot of injuries have caught up to him.

00:25And with the money that he's owed, and with him playing so little, look,

00:30if Lindor was having a great year, saddled with this contract, Tom,

00:33I think the Mets could find a way out.

00:34But I mean, I know that they're not going to say his name,

00:37but how can he even be traded at this point?

00:39He hasn't played.

00:41It's a great question.

00:42You know, Bichette's name isn't mentioned there as well.

00:44And I know Bichette has a series of opt-outs or whatever it is over the course

00:49of the career contract that he signed with the Mets.

00:53But those are the right list of names to have,

00:55at least as a starting point for the Mets.

00:57Those are your own players, your top pitcher that you're going to have,

01:01you know, moving forward over the next few years.

01:03But they need to have as many conversations as they possibly can with other teams

01:08about anyone that's not on that list.

01:10Because if they can get any type of assets back for Freddie Peralta,

01:13they want to trade him to the Texas Rangers, who he's not going to be a front-line starter,

01:17but he can be a depth guy for them.

01:19They need a little bit of pitching help.

01:20You know, they lost Jack Leiter for a bit.

01:22Mackenzie Gore has been great.

01:23Kumar Rock has been on down.

01:24They need a little bit of depth pitching.

01:25Could they get one prospect back for Freddie Peralta?

01:28Sure.

01:28The Braves need some help.

01:30Do they want to trade him?

01:30But anyone that's not on the list,

01:32the Mets need to start making phone calls and start taking any phone call they can.
