00:00Meanwhile, I know that they're calling it maybe the Freddy Peralta sweepstakes,
00:05but are there really sweepstakes when the pitcher may not even crack the rotation for another team?
00:09I don't know what happened to Freddy Peralta, Tom, but look,
00:12maybe it is the Brewers that have the secret sauce to fix him at some point.
00:16I know they just lost Woodruff for the rest of the season,
00:19but I got to tell you, Tom, I have my concerns here.
00:23I mean, look, there aren't going to be a lot of guys out there,
00:25and he does play for a team that probably is going to trade him.
00:28Do you think that a change of scenery maybe helps Peralta?
00:31Because this season has been, I mean, it hasn't been a disaster,
00:34but would Peralta even pitch on a postseason team in their rotation?
00:38I don't know.
00:39That's a great question.
00:41Here's what I think of the situation, and seeing that the Brewers have emerged,
00:45you know, as a suitor for Peralta.
00:47The Mets can't trade him to the Brewers.
00:48They can trade him to literally anyone else but the Brewers.
00:51You can't trade away young assets to get this player back
00:54that should have been a front-line starter, have a failed season,
00:57and then immediately trade him right back to the team that you got him from.
01:00People are going to say, oh, the Brewers got Freddie Peralta for free.
01:02They got, you know, assets back from the Mets the first time,
01:05and sure, the Brewers are going to have to send something back to the Mets.
01:07But optically, you can't trade him back to the same team you just got him from.
01:11Trade him to the Phillies.
01:12The Phillies need a starter.
01:13Would he be a front-line starter in the Phillies?
01:15Absolutely not.
01:16I would say trade him to a division rival
01:18before you trade him back to the team you just got him from.
01:20Trade him to anyone else but the Brewers.
01:22The Brewers.
01:22Let's have a look at both.
01:22There's things we're getting in for those,
