00:00If the sky seems to have a haze this week, don't be surprised.
00:04The smoke from the major wildfires in Canada is traveling across the border
00:08and could impact millions of Americans.
00:11As per the reports, due to changes in the wind pattern,
00:15wildfire smoke is entering into the Midwest, Northeast, and Mid-Atlantic regions.
00:21While some regions may only face hazy skies,
00:24others may have air quality which is unhealthy
00:27and especially harmful for children, senior citizens, asthmatics, and people with heart disease.
00:34Doctors advise limiting outdoor exposure when the air seems to have a smoke haze
00:39to close windows as much as possible and use an air purifier or N95 masks if you need to be
00:47out.
00:48The smoke has come from the major wildfires raging through parts of Canada and northern Minnesota,
00:54and the weather conditions will determine how long it will linger over the region.
00:59If you are in one of the affected regions,
01:01it is better to check the air quality in your locality before stepping out.
01:06Keep safe and do share if the sky was hazy in your region too.
