00:00The Kelly Clarkson and Art of Play story has a new detail, and it involves a $15,000 mechanical bird.
00:06After Kelly said a Brooklyn employee treated her like she couldn't afford anything, the store gave its side.
00:11It said she asked about a singing bird automaton named Molly, which is permanently attached to the wall and isn't
00:16for sale.
00:17According to the store, staff offered a nearly identical one for $15,000 or a different singing bird for $2
00:23,000.
00:24The store also says she was only there for about five minutes, so she never got to see the cheaper
00:28option.
00:29Clarkson pushed back on that version.
00:31She accused the store of lying and said being a small business doesn't give anyone a free pass to treat
00:36customers badly.
00:37Fox 5 reports she also posted a video showing the $15,000 price tag.
00:42Art of Play says it reached out to her privately to clear the air, and it hopes everyone can laugh
00:46about it someday.
00:47It's not clear yet whether the two sides have actually talked.
00:50So was this just a misunderstanding over what was for sale, or is there more to the story?
