00:00Labor Day is here, but before you head out, you might want to check what's actually open.
00:05Monday, September 7th is Labor Day, a federal holiday in the U.S.
00:09That means government offices, banks, courts, schools, and the stock market are closed.
00:15And if you need to mail something, there's another important one.
00:19USPS says all post offices are closed, with regular mail delivery and retail services returning Tuesday, September 8th.
00:27But here's where things get interesting.
00:29Most major retailers and grocery stores are still open, so you can still shop or grab what you need.
00:36Costco is the major exception and will be closed.
00:39UPS and FedEx are also limiting or suspending standard services for the holiday.
00:45So while Labor Day gives you a day off, not everything shuts down.
