00:00Muslims celebrate two festivals each year, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Azha.
00:05Eid al-Fitr is a gift from Allah Almighty to us in return for fasting throughout the month of Ramadan.
00:12Whereas Eid al-Azha is known as the festival of sacrifice.
00:16We celebrate it to sacrifice our animals in the name of Allah and to honor the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim
00:22alayhi salam.
00:23Today is the perfect time to tell you about this honorable story of Hazrat Ibrahim alayhi salam.
00:29Right, Aliha? Yes.
00:31Hazrat Ibrahim was a messenger of Allah, sent on earth by Allah to stop us from strain.
00:38Hazrat Ibrahim and his wife, Hajra, were blessed with a beautiful son, Ismail.
00:47One night, Hazrat Ibrahim saw in his dream that Allah commanded him to sacrifice Ismail alayhi salam, his beloved son.
00:55The other night, the same dream occurred, again commanding him to do the same.
01:01Ibrahim alayhi salam then came to realize that this was, in fact, a message from Allah Almighty.
01:08Hazrat Ibrahim alayhi salam loved his son, Ismail alayhi salam.
01:12Yet, he was fully prepared to follow Allah's commands and do as he instructed.
01:17He took his son to the top of Mount Anafaz and told him about his dream and what Allah had
01:23commanded him to do.
01:24Being an obedient son, Ismail alayhi salam immediately obliged to the wishes of Allah and his father.
