Transcript
00:00The only total solar eclipse of the year will sweep across parts of Greenland, Iceland, Spain,
00:03and a small area of Portugal on August 12th. If you're inside that narrow path, the moon will
00:07completely block the sun for up to about two and a half minutes. Outside the path of totality,
00:11though, millions more across Europe, North America, and parts of the Arctic will still
00:16see a partial eclipse, with the moon taking a bite out of the sun. Now, if you're planning to watch,
00:21make sure you have your certified eclipse glasses or another safe viewing method. And here's a
00:25bonus. The Perseid meteor shower also peaks that same night, making August 12th a great day to look up.
