00:00I was just reading something in the Miami Herald.
00:03Barry Jackson, Anthony Chang, they say that Clay Thompson
00:08has emerged as a player of strong interest in the Heat,
00:12whether LeBron James joins the Heat or not.
00:17He the kind of shooter you want to see?
00:20Yes.
00:22Like you think he's still got something left to be a quality,
00:26consistent shooter?
00:27Because the Heat need that.
00:29I think with Bam and Giannis, I think we got the paint covered.
00:32I think we need shooters.
00:34I think that's why they brought in Tim Hardaway Jr.
00:36And that's what we need.
00:38We need outside guys.
00:39We need wings.
00:40He's won titles before, plural.
00:43And I know everybody's lasting image of him in Dallas isn't a great one.
00:49But the reality is he went there to be running mates with Luka.
00:53And instead what he got was not Luka because he got traded away
00:57after Clay Thompson signed there, if he's your second or third guy off the bench
01:03in a limited capacity and really just need him there to space the floor,
01:08knock down shots, I think it's a no-brainer if you can get Clay Thompson here again
01:13with or without LeBron James.
01:15To me, that's a huge plus for the Miami Heat.
01:17But his falloff seemed precipitous.
01:21For sure.
01:21For sure.
01:22But again, Hawk, he was supposed to be there to be playing next to Luka Doncic.
01:27And that never really got off the ground because Luka gets injured.
01:31And then all of a sudden now, the Mavs are like, oh yeah, Clay Thompson,
01:35you're the guy who scored 37 points with five dribbles.
01:37Don't be that guy.
01:38You do that every game.
01:39Yeah.
01:40It's like, well, I'm not that guy anymore.
01:42I need to play off a superstar.
