00:08the Bucs, which, you know, I was just reading yesterday, this, uh, Giannis did another
00:15interview with the Milwaukee journal Sentinel, I think it is.
00:19And he was doing already the, uh, the walk back from the slap in the face interview that
00:24he did over the weekend.
00:25So he was already trying to say, oh, I could stay, you know, I could, he wants to do like
00:29all damage control on this.
00:32And then Shams was like, hold my beer because here's going to be like all the dirt that's
00:36coming out from the weekend.
00:37And it's like, it's, it sounds like it's been a miserable season.
00:40Basically the rundown of it is July came around Giannis's people went to the box and said,
00:47Hey, can we move on?
00:48I'd only want to be traded to the New York Knicks.
00:50And then they thought about it.
00:52They didn't like the deal.
00:53They decided instead, we're going to bring you miles Turner.
00:56And Giannis was like, all right, I'll give that a run.
01:00Apparently the word, according to this was Giannis gave it a run for like two weeks.
01:03And then he was like, Nope, this sucks.
01:05I'm ready to go.

01:58reaction to it was to get, to go at the bucks for tampering.

02:15Um, and it's, it basically was like, once your best player, a team source said, when your

02:24Mind you, he was also dealing with injuries the entire time as well.
02:26He's out and he's apparently going, his, his agent is going to them.
02:31Um, and he went back at the trade deadline and he said that, uh, on a few months before
02:40April, uh, before February 5th of the trade deadline, he was prepared to be moving this
02:43from Shamsarani.
02:44He declined to publicize his trade requests, but made it clear to all parties involved
02:47behind the scenes that he felt both sides needed to move on immediately as the franchise
02:52was not in a position to win.
02:53Uh, Giannis wanted to handle this professionally.
02:56I was being very upfront with the team.
02:59One source with direct knowledge of the situation.
03:00This could have been a happy resolution, but instead it might end up being a nasty breakup,
03:05which it seems because they cost him the money.
03:07That was an interesting part that was in this leader is referring to in this piece.
03:12Giannis apparently missed out on a big Nike bonus because he's not going to reach 41 games
03:17this year.
03:18So he also was cost money by this.
03:21Now.
03:21So my question is this.
03:26If you're the bucks, are you doing that because you're insulted that now you want to pick
03:32it up to make that bonus, but not to play for us?
03:35Well, this is the thing.
03:36It apparently seems like the agent went to Jimmy Haslam and Wes Edens who are like the
03:41co-owners of the bucks, same Haslam that owns the same Haslam that owns the Browns.
03:45And there also seems to be a divide amongst them.
03:47I'm like, who's in, who's out, who wants to make the move?
03:50Uh, Giannis, his agent went to them.
03:53He says he wanted them to quote, do right by Antetokounmpo.
03:56The player and agent recalled a handshake agreement of ownership and a high ranking officials that
04:00made, uh, to trade him collaboratively.
04:03Should the time come after Antetokounmpo signed an extension with the organization in 2020 and
04:072023.
04:07So basically saying, Hey, if it ever went awry, you guys were going to move them.
04:11Um, after this, there was a meeting on Stokounmpo met with, uh, John horse, the GM horse indicated
04:19that he was working on trade negotiations.
04:20According to multiple sources, horse also told Antetokounmpo that he might not be on the
04:24bucks roster by the start of the 26, 27 season.
04:26Uh, after a recent dialogue with ownership, uh, they had trade talks with more than a
04:31dozen teams.
04:31The Timberwolves, Miami heat and golden state warriors were among the leading suitors for
04:35Antetokounmpo.
04:35League sources, uh, said executives from each of those teams believed horse was genuine in
04:39his conversations about moving on from Giannis, uh, in a proposal of the bucks criteria of
04:43a young blue chip talent and a surplus of draft picks, uh, for some teams, however, horse
04:48and the bucks took days, responding to messages, calls, leaving those execs believing that
04:53Milwaukee was not ready to pull off the trade.
04:54The bucks asked, uh, for high things.
04:56Milwaukee wanted Evan Mobley from the Cavaliers, Vijay Edgecombe from the 76ers, uh, and other
05:01assets, according to Ramona Shelburne in March, Antetokounmpo's desire in the trade talks also
05:06mattered as he has a guaranteed contract.
05:09So he wants to go where he wants to go.
05:10As the deadline grew near Minnesota and golden state began to sense that Milwaukee was keeping
05:14Antetokounmpo.
05:15Both of those sides moved on completing other deals.
05:17Team sources said that the bucks seriously considered the Miami heats offer, which centered around
05:22Tyler hero, Kalel, where other players and multiple draft picks and swaps Milwaukee contemplated
05:29moving forward with Miami on February 4th ownership, however, believed the best move
05:33would be to hold onto Antetokounmpo and receive better offers in the summer.
05:37The bucks informed the heat on the morning of February 5th, that they would not accept
05:41the deal.
05:42So that's kind of the, uh, the skinny of it.
05:44There's also some really funny stuff there about like, uh, just terrible meat, terrible
05:49meetings between the teams.
05:50Like Bobby Portis ripping everybody a new one, doc rivers calling out a multitude of players,
05:56like putting his resume on the, they stink.
05:58And doc rivers is trying to resume them.
06:00He put like a montage of Kyle Kuzma footage of folly of like just Kyle Kuzma, not trying.
06:05And then they just wouldn't play Kyle Kuzma.
06:07So it sounds like it's a disaster in Milwaukee with this all going on.
06:11And then, uh, on top of all of it, you know, they, they got to now go into the summer

06:16Giannis will likely be traded again.
06:18They'll revisit those trade talks.
06:21But the question is, will more teams be involved?

06:25Will the heat, the heat will have more picks to offer because of the rules.
06:28The problem with this is, is that when you kept it cordial, um, it seemed like everything
06:39was cool, but now Giannis is disgruntled because you cost him money.
