00:00It's finally time to dine outdoors again, so elevate your outdoor dining table with this statement design.
00:10The first thing to think about when you're creating a really statement design is the vessel.
00:16And for this one I'm going to be using one of my favourite antique vases.
00:20Today we are going to be designing with alliums.
00:23We've got this spherical one, it's called the Gladiator Allium.
00:27This one is slightly less spherical, it's more of a kind of umbel.
00:30And then I've got these Allium Schuberti, and they are just incredible.
00:37Can you see those?
00:38Now the rules and principles of design, you can go one and a half times higher than the height of
00:45your vase.
00:46So actually I could go higher than this with my seventh winter allowance.
00:49We'll just start by placing a few of these Gladiator Alliums in.
00:54I'm going to keep the blend of these completely now.
00:58We're going to start to add your seventh leaves.
01:01Into our design, we'll just be slightly further down.
01:04We're just going to keep adding leaves as sweet as possible, really celebrating this flower.
01:10It gives so much joy, and Alliums are one of my favourites.
01:15Ok, so now I'm going to try and add in some of these these.
01:19This is the Gladiator Alliums which really are quite show-saving in this one.
01:25So I'm going to keep the blend of these two more and then you'll have these flowers in the middle.
01:30So you want to have some that are coming a little bit further down towards the middle of the vase.
01:36And then lots of the dress here as well as well.
01:38Taking a full arrangement outside as I've done a bit of a book is actually a brilliant way of celebrating
01:44what's growing up in the garden at any given time.
01:47Move things around, it's not happening in them.
01:50And I don't think you can use any kind of flowers in an outdoor arrangement, but large ones I guess
01:55are not all the best.
01:56You can use your outfit and value picking.
