Should the Washington Commanders bring back the iconic RFK seats to their new stadium? Listen as The Junks debate the idea!
Transcript
00:00Real quick before we get to this Mark Klaus audio.
00:03Mark Klaus, the president of the Washington Commanders.
00:06It is the summer of IUK, but we didn't have cakes last week.
00:10What did you make of his turn against Jaden Daniels?
00:15It was kind of a bizarre heel turn.
00:17I mean, I thought those guys were tight.
00:19I thought they were boys.
00:20I mean, maybe it's just an Instagram act.
00:24They're in on it together.
00:25I doubt that's the case since didn't they both unfollow each other
00:29on the gram.
00:30I did keep up with that.
00:33Just kind of weird.
00:34I've been out on IUK since day one.
00:36I don't know why the team would be interested in him,
00:38especially after this latest turn.
00:41We'll have to see how things work out.
00:42It doesn't even sound like he's interested in getting reinstated
00:45so he can get released by the team.
00:48He just seems like a complete disaster, and if they sign him,
00:52I'm going to have serious questions about Adam Peters
00:55and his staff going forward.
00:57Again, what if that he's always been this way,
01:01and it's just the public that's learning this,
01:05and Adam Peters is known all along.
01:06He's a weird dude.
01:08But in his mind, as long as he doesn't hurt the team,
01:10it's fine because he's a great player.
01:12Is it possible?
01:13I mean, it's possible, I guess.
01:15Is he still a great player?
01:17I don't know that.
01:18I don't know that.
01:18That's what I'd be worried about.
01:19If I could get the production that he had two or three years ago
01:24when he was, you know, I think he had eight or ten touchdowns
01:28and well over 1,000 receiving yards,
01:31if that's the Brandon Iyuk that I know I'm getting,
01:33then I might potentially be interested in his services.
01:37But I just don't need that circus around in a pivotal year for Dan Quinn
01:42and for his offense.
01:43What do you make of Stefan Diggs saying,
01:47name a number two receiver.
01:48Is he better than me?
01:51I mean, if there is one better, it's a short list.
01:54It might be like T. Higgins.
01:56I mean, I can't think of many that would be better than Stefan Diggs.
02:01I'd be much more interested in signing Stefan Diggs than I would Iyuk.
02:05His lawsuit doesn't bother you?
02:06No.
02:07It doesn't bother me one bit.
02:11It'll be interesting what's going to happen.
02:12I mean, all the guys that we've been talking about all summer,
02:15I mean, camp is right around the corner now.
02:18We're a couple weeks away.
02:19They're all unsigned.
02:21Every one of them.
02:23Debo.
02:25Somebody pointed out to me that Diggs, Keenan Allen.
02:27Debo's just not a fit for the Blau offense,
02:30and that might make sense to me.
02:34That's one of the big reasons why they haven't resigned him.
02:38I mean, I thought there'd be a more robust market for Debo Samuel.
02:42I'm guessing he and his representatives thought the same thing.
02:46But I think all these guys are going to get signed once we start getting into camps.
02:50Yeah, but they'll get signed for nothing.
02:51They're going to get signed for nothing.
02:53Did I bet that Debo was going to get a $20 million per season?
02:57You haven't paid me on that one yet.
02:59I'm still holding out hope, but I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen.
03:03So any money I'm going to win in the AJ DeBonta upcoming bet,
03:06I'm probably going to pay you in the Debo.
03:07I'm not going to pay out.
03:09The DeBonta one's going to be close, bro.
03:11Understood.
03:11I'm not chalking it up as he's going to get average 20 right now.
03:16But from what I've seen in two summer league appearances, I'm encouraged by what I've seen so far.
03:23You have to be encouraged overall by the Wizards.
03:25We talked about them earlier.
03:26All right.
03:26So Mark Klaus came on the B. Mitch and Finley show.
03:31He's the team president.
03:33And talked about the stadium.
03:36I mean, we'll be in 2030 before we know it.
03:39Yeah.
03:40Well, you're already halfway through 2026.
03:42You said you drove by the remains of RFK today.
03:45Well, I couldn't see anything because I drove by it at 525 in the morning.
03:49I don't think there's anything to see.
03:50There's nothing there.
03:51I know.
03:51It's just an empty space.
03:53But he came on the show and talked about what the new stadium is going to be like and the
03:58excitement.
03:59And this is what he said.
04:01He asked you about bouncing seats at RFK.
04:04Right.
04:05I believe this is public stuff, right?
04:07They're going to be there.
04:08Yeah.
04:08They're going to be there.
04:09Only this time they're going to be structurally sound.
04:13The other one wasn't supposed to buy that.
04:15I don't think that was what they were designed to do.
04:17What is that design then?
04:18Yeah.
04:18So we're working on some technology.
04:20As you guys have heard us talk, part of the art of this is getting the right balance of access
04:27with incredible premium experiences.
04:29And so one of the things that we're really committed to, and Josh made this super clear from day one,
04:35that we want our fans to be in this building.
04:37And so we're going to create a destination inside the stadium.
04:40We're calling it the wall of fans.
04:41We may have a little more creative dialogue about what that's called over time.
04:44But the idea is as part of that, there will be a section of stands that rock.
04:50And when you're up there cheering and roaring, you're going to get that motion that feels like it used to
04:59feel, only, like I said, designed to do it.
05:02Not just a function of what the materials were.
05:05The architects came and said, let me show you how this is supposed to work.
05:09I'm like, you guys, you can't just shake stadiums.
05:12You've got to, you know.
05:13But we found a way.
05:15Credit to our stadium team and the great work.
05:19I think it's cool.
05:20It's only going to be a section of the stands, though.
05:23It'll rock like that, right?
05:25I just picture it kind of like you see the tarps off movement for the Washington Nationals or the wall
05:31that they created for Clippers games.
05:34Yeah.
05:34So just a wild section.
05:36A wild section.
05:37I don't know the science behind it.
05:38Well, I mean, obviously.
05:39Drabby was showing me some video during the break and was clearly AI of, like, shocks underneath the stands.
05:44Yeah, I don't know how they're going to do it.
05:46But obviously it won't be sort of attached to the main structure of the whole thing, right?
05:50Because, I mean, this is going to be an indoor facility.
05:54You have to remember that.
05:55Could be like one of those rides you would do when we were kids at theme parks.
05:58Yeah, it'd be like an amusement ride.
06:00It'd be more along those lines.
06:01It's like the 4DX movie theaters.
06:04Right.
06:04Where they shake and pound and spray you with water.
06:07Right, like you smoke juice out of the seats.
06:09Yeah, without a touchdown.
06:10It's kind of a gimmick.
06:12It's a little bit of a gimmick.
06:13Oh, it's definitely a gimmick.
06:14Yeah, but it is a throwback to the RFK stands shaking during games.
06:18There's a reason you had to work for that.
06:20Huh?
06:20You had to work for that.
06:22Like, if there's an operator going, shake the stands, you know, a third down.
06:26Right.
06:27No, my guess is that it would just be shakable.
06:32Correct.
06:32In other words, the audience does it.
06:35Not some guy saying, okay, now we want our fans to be shaking.
06:39No, it's just like bleachers.
06:41It's just a little bit movable.
06:42They've got concrete everywhere.
06:44And they just put some nubs of bleachers in one section.
06:46There's a little give to them.
06:47Yeah, but they probably won't always have them do that.
06:49Because if there's a billion events there, you know, like if it's a Super Bowl or something,
06:55they're probably not going to have that section shaking.
06:57Okay.
06:57So maybe you could lock it off.
06:59But if you release it, they could just shake.
07:01Kind of a gimmick.
07:02I'm not saying it's not a gimmick.
07:04But it's, I don't think it's going to be just some guy going, all right, we want them to shake,
07:09hit a button, and they start shaking people.
07:11Like an earthquake.
07:13In my head, that's what I envision.
07:14No, no.
07:15My head is, it's just, they're loose.
07:17It's going to be human powered.
07:19Yeah, it's human powered, loose.
07:21And there's some give to them.
07:22And they're allowed to shake if you get rowdy.
07:25Yeah, that's what I picture.
07:25Like bleachers.
07:26But maybe.
07:26But not like a button.
07:27Maybe it's like a rollercoaster ride.
07:29Don't you and Dina have one of those shaking plate things?
07:32What?
07:33Don't you have one?
07:34Weren't you guys doing like holding the plate?
07:37No, it's like a.
07:38The vibrating.
07:39Yeah.
07:39The thing you sit on.
07:40You stand on.
07:41The vibrating thing you stand on.
07:42You don't hold it.
07:44Oh, I usually see some.
07:45I see a lot of times people using it.
07:47They stand and they might hold like dumbbells or something.
07:49Oh, yeah.
07:49You could do stuff like that.
07:50Sure.
07:51Yeah.
07:51I don't think it's like that.
07:53I don't think it's like some electric thing.
07:55No.
07:55I think it's going to be essentially like.
07:56After the commander's game, all the toxins are out of your body.
07:59Nickel?
07:59Yeah.
08:00Exactly.
08:02Exactly.
08:03Did I tell you I got to.
08:03It's a therapeutic experience.
08:04Did I tell you I got to.
08:05I don't really use that.
08:06I don't use my vibrating plate anymore.
08:08I bought a.
08:09I have a little mini trampoline in the basement.
08:13Do a hundred jumps on it.
08:15What?
08:15Well, that is an old lady thing.
08:17You've moved on to aerobic trampoline.
08:19Are you Suzanne Somers?
08:21Exactly.
08:21He's going to be doing water aerobics classes.
08:23You've got life warmers on.
08:23It's good for you.
08:24You go down there, I take a dump, and then I just do a hundred jumps.
08:27They're going to go off my day or whatever.
08:29Man boobs bouncing up and down.
08:31Dude, one day I'll tell you all the things.
08:33At some point, I do have a story to tell where how I dramatically reduced my blood pressure
08:39in a few months and lost a ton of weight.
08:41Yeah.
08:42People are calling me, like, go Zempic brain and stuff.
08:45It's not a little Zempic.
08:46I just did a real whole health.
08:48I had a whole health journey.
08:49Health reset.
08:50Was the BP a show?
08:52Oh, it was outrageous.
08:53My blood pressure at one point, I mean, it wasn't like Pete's.
08:58I think Pete's was, like, in the two bills.
09:00Like, Pete's was, like, way up there.
09:02I find it hard to just, I mean, okay.
09:05It was too soon?
09:07I don't know.
09:07Did you make a joke about Pete's blood pressure?
09:09Pete's got terrible blood pressure.
09:11I guess he did.
09:13No, mine was, like, the last time I had it checked before, it was, like, 177 over, like, 110 or
09:20something.
09:20Doesn't sound good.
09:21Pretty high.
09:22Yeah.
09:23But your boy got it down to, like.
09:24Because your goal is 120 over 80 or that's like that.
09:26Put it this way.
09:27I did, like, 9 million things, including jumping on a trampoline and eating properly and losing a bunch of weight
09:32and so on.
09:34I mean, I did everything you could possibly do.
09:36And I got it down to 127 over 72.
09:38That's pretty good.
09:39That's pretty good.
09:41Oh, yeah.
09:42Yeah.
09:42Pretty good.
09:44Pretty darn good.
09:45And you could do it all naturally.
09:46It'd be funny if you did all that and you were on the trampoline and tore up your leg like
09:50you landed funny on the little trampoline.
09:52Yeah, your knee's like Conor McGregor.
09:54Conor McGregor.
09:55You can't do that.
09:56Why can't you tell us what you did?
09:57I can.
09:58I just, I would have to write it down.
09:59I did so many things you wouldn't even, I mean, I would have to take me forever to think about
10:02it.
10:03I mean, I did everything.
10:04But yes, change your diet.
10:07That's probably what worked.
10:09Well, that's the number one.
10:10Well, that's the number one.
10:10You're losing weight, of course, but not many people can do it.
10:13A lot of people say, yeah, I'm going to lose weight and they can't do it.
10:15You know what I mean?
10:16Or they have to go to the doctor to lose weight.
10:19Some of us can actually just lose weight.
10:22Take pride in it.
10:23It can happen.
10:24Yeah.
10:24It is possible.
10:26It's very possible.
10:27The number one thing was, to be honest with you, if you want a free hack, it's intermittent fasting.
10:31Apparently, it's not great for women.
10:33I don't know why.
10:33They say it messes with their hormones.
10:35But for dudes, it works.
10:37I mean, hell, Cakes was doing it.
10:39Lost weight pretty easy.
10:41I've taken my foot off the pedal a little bit.
10:43Right.
10:43But when you were doing it, were you not just...
10:45I lost a good amount of weight, like eight or nine pounds, like in a month and a half.
10:48But easy to do.
10:49I mean, it's not easy to not eat for 16 hours or whatever it is, but you get used to
10:54it.
10:55But I wasn't just losing weight.
10:56I was eating like spinach, a ton of fiber in my diet.
11:01I was drinking a beetroot juice, you know what they tell you to do.
11:05I'd rather be a big fatty than a beetroot juice.
11:09Gross.
11:09No, thank you.
11:11Not a fan.
11:13Also, cut down drinking.
11:14Definitely.
11:14Cut down my drinking by like 98%.
11:16That will definitely keep the weight off.
11:18I have all this booze in my bar area.
11:23I haven't made a home drink in like over a year.
11:25Give it to Mike Moore.
11:27Well, if I had a party or something, I would.
11:29I'd pour myself a drink if I had a party or something.
11:31But like the routine of making two drinks every night?
11:35Yeah.
11:35It's been like a year, Cakes.
11:37That's impressive.
11:39I'm going to enjoy a beer tonight in about 11 hours.
11:43I don't see you slowing down.
11:44I don't see you slowing down.
11:47Probably the two beer guy.
11:48He's a two beer guy.
11:49This is what I do.
11:50I know.
11:50You're the king of white lies.
11:51This is my brand.
11:52This is my brand.
11:531-800-636-1067 if you want to chime in.
11:57Coming up next, was Conor McGregor injured before his fight?
12:02You're the king of white lies.
12:02You're the king of white lies.
12:02You're the king of white lies.
12:02You
