00:16and really didn't know what they were doing.
00:17They're going through the maturation process.

00:20They have to understand who they are as players,
00:23understanding their strengths and weaknesses.
00:25They were operating off of pure talent last year.
00:28They've gotten the film more, in the film room more.
00:31They understand the game, conceptually what we're trying to accomplish,
00:35the moving parts of the offense, different spots.
00:38So, like, just growth.
00:39They should be key parts of not just, like, the backfield but our offense.

00:46like, what do we need to see this offseason
00:48for them to become an every-down back, I guess?
00:50Because I think last year wasn't really involved in pass protection.
00:52What's the growth there specifically?
00:54Yeah, just understanding, you know, defensive structure.

00:58Understanding rotation.
00:59Understanding where his scan at.
01:02Understanding what we're trying to accomplish in protection.
01:04Understanding fronts and defenses.
01:06And I want to say, man, I want to talk about that guy.
01:09Like, he's made an outstanding jump in pass pro
01:13and understanding defenses.
01:14I mean, he's even surprised me.
01:17Like, I'm like, you know, sometimes I'm like, did you know that?
01:21Did you understand what the defense was doing there?
01:23And he was like, I knew pre-snap.
01:24I saw the shell.
01:25I saw rotation.
01:26I saw what they were trying to disguise.
01:28And, man, he's grown already in that area.
01:31He's going to have to continue to get gang strength as a young guy
01:35and work on his pass pro.
01:37But just the understanding of the game, already he's taken a huge leap.
