00:05first you talked a lot about some of the players you're coaching I'm very curious for you just the
00:09significance of this promotion what does this mean for you and your career and the time you
00:13put to get to this point you know I really haven't thought about a whole lot that's a great question
00:16um you know I mean you know I'm a big believer in just being where your feet are you know
00:22and
00:22I think that if you really put the players first you know great things will happen with you
00:26and that's really been my focus is seeing these guys reach their goals and aspirations and how
00:30can I make them better how can I not screw them up uh that's really what it's been about and
00:34so
00:35for me personally I mean I've been I've been fortunate I've been blessed you know I've I've
00:39made it further in my career than I probably ever thought I would have made it you know and I'm
00:43here
00:43and I'm at the University of Oregon and I'm the defensive coordinator you know so I probably
00:47haven't had a whole lot of time to think about it because quite frankly you got to do a great
00:50job
00:51it's like you guys I want to be the best defense in the country we all want to be the
00:54best defense
00:54in the country we want to win a national championship right there's no secret about that
00:58right so that's a lot of responsibility so I don't have a whole lot of time to sit back and
01:02pat myself on the back and be like whoa you should feel good about yourself you know I got a
01:06job to
01:06do and you know the work you know the opponent's waiting on me you know and so you know everybody's
01:13looking to you know when you're at the top of the mountain they're trying to take your spot so
01:16you know we're at Oregon now and the expectations are high
01:24you
