📖 1 Samuel 16:7

“The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

🙏 Afternoon Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for loving me just as I am.

When the world judges me by my appearance, my mistakes, or my circumstances, remind me that You see my heart.

Help me not to seek the approval of people but to desire a heart that is pleasing to You.

Purify my thoughts, renew my mind, and fill me with humility, kindness, and compassion.

Remove every feeling of rejection, insecurity, and comparison.

Teach me to see others the way You see them—with love, grace, and mercy.

Lord, create in me a clean heart and help me walk faithfully in Your purpose.

May my life reflect Your goodness, and may everything I do bring glory to Your name.

Thank You because You know my heart, my struggles, and my dreams. I trust that Your plans for me are good, and Your timing is perfect.

In Jesus’ mighty name,

Amen. 🙏❤️

00:00Only God can truly see and understand someone's heart.
00:03We, as humans, often make judgments based on outward appearances, actions, or words,
00:10but God sees beyond all of that.
00:12He knows the depth of each person's intentions, struggles, and desires.
00:171 Samuel 16.7 says,
00:20The Lord does not look at the things people look at.
00:23People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
00:27This is a powerful reminder that while we might be quick to judge others based on what we see,
00:33God sees the whole picture, the thoughts, motivations, and inner battles that we can't possibly understand.
00:39He knows what's truly going on in someone's life, and He alone can judge righteously.
00:45Instead of assuming the worst, we can ask God to give us a heart of compassion, understanding, and love.
00:52We can pray that He helps us see others the way He does,
00:55through the lens of grace and mercy.
00:58Proverbs 21.2 reminds us,
