00:03Japanese engineers have built the world's first robotic farm
00:07that grows food without a single human hand.
00:10Have a look at what they think a robotic farm would look like.
00:15So you've got robots, a whole row of robots there carrying little bottles of,
00:18what's that water, is that watering cans?
00:21Is that a row of robots with watering cans?
00:23And another row of robots with little trays of tomatoes.
00:30So either the people that produce this are stupid
00:33or more likely they think that this is what will get clicks and probably did.
00:39That's how we came across it on the internet.
00:41So they know nonsense like this gets clicks.
00:44But it's pretty insulting to human intelligence, isn't it?
00:47So the truth is, yes, Japan has developed a robotic farm.
00:52That's the bit that's true.
00:54The human hand bit's not true.
00:56The image is not true.
00:57This is what it looks like.
00:58This is near Kyoto and it's in 2016.
01:03It was one of the world's first fully robotic farms.
01:07But again, not fully robotic.
01:09The humans do the planting of the seeds and obviously do other things as well.
01:13But it's still one of the world's best robotic farms.
01:17Here's actually a human working in that place.
01:22It's a shame, you know, because quite often these stories are actually pretty good stories on their own and are
01:27pretty impressive on their own.
01:29But these guys aren't really interested in the reality.
01:31They're just interested in the clicks and the attention seeking, aren't they?
01:35That's what they're really after.
01:36So that's why they post the BS.
01:37They take a true story and exaggerate it.
01:40Just as a matter of interest too, while I was researching this, this is some other equipment that's used in
01:45robotic farms around the world.
01:47So the USA also has some good ones.
01:49China has some good ones.
01:50There's countries in Europe that have got some good ones.
01:53So robotics in farming is becoming a common thing around the world.
01:56In Australia they've got some good cow stuff that milks cows automatically.
02:00That's pretty common around the world too.
02:03This is what robotics in farming looks like.
02:06So it's not rows of human style robots.
02:11It's just a shame, isn't it?
02:12The internet is just so full of BS where they take stuff that's a little bit true and just for
02:17the sake of some clicks and attention, just totally BS it all.
